I think I took to much time explaining what Rammstein are all about without having a great comparison that works for English language audiences.
Now I have one.
Do you know the play "Titus Andronicus" by William Shakespeare? It's not one of his mist famous, but in my opinion propably his best.
It's a grim tale full of violence, yet it is psychologically interesting, and it centers around raw emotion. And the language is poetic and advanced - like Shakespeare in general is.
Now imagine this play... sung in a deep voice over an industrial rock instrumental... and you pretty much have Rammstein.

4 Rammstein lyrics show a great interest in classic German literature and folk tales, psychology and philosophy.
