Top Ten Music Genres You Have Grown Away From

Music reflects changes in our lives. For whatever reason, we move away from a genre which we once listened to all the time. These 10 aren't my choice (just a couple). Which music genre did you once love but have grown away from? Feel free to add any you feel I've missed.
The Top Ten
1 Trap
2 R&B
3 Pop

Yesterday, I tried listening to Adele, Coldplay; all the usual mainstream chart stuff (that I once thought - apart from Jazz- made me happy) just to see how I would feel...it was like a black cloud descended on me. A physical and emotional sickness smothered me, drained my energy. I just cannot bring myself to listen to pop; rap; indie or Britpop again. I felt awful.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that Blues or anything Blues-related probably saved my sanity. I'm a happier woman since I started listening to it. My family especially have noticed the change in me. I never realised just how powerful music really is.

More or less everybody listens pop music. Even Ritchie Blackmore was/is a big fan of pop music. I also started with pop music. I still like some pop songs.

I got into dancey pop music (so Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, etc) during my godawful 6th grade year but around March of that same school year I grew out of it and moved back to my normal music.

Along with pop songs, I also enjoyed rock music. Rock has stuck on my mind like forever.

I'm starting to lose interest in it

7 Punk
8 Soul
9 Rap

Definitely true. Considering how rap is pure garbage nowadays, I've pretty much grown out of it. I mean it's really not getting any better so I've went on to much more different genres than rap. I really don't think rap is gonna last forever if it's just gonna get worse and worse.

10 Country

I used to like country music until they became basically Pop songs with words like Beer, Trucks, Tractors, and Redneck thrown in

I don't like modern country. I prefer the 20th century country when the songs had more meaning to them.

The Contenders
11 Trance
12 Heavy Metal Heavy Metal music is a sub-genre of rock music that originated in the late 1960s-70s, featuring more distorted and heavier instrumental work and darker lyrical themes. Heavy Metal broke into mainstream success with bands such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Metallica.
