Top Ten Song Questions to Ask TopTenners

I am making this list giving to 2 choices of songs you will have to answer me which one yes some are going to be a bit weird but answer this than ask me more question about songs than I will answer you

The Top Ten

1 Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) or Lose Yourself (Eminem)

Without disregarding the nice work by Eminem, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is such a well-done and fairly unique creation there really aren't many songs that would top it in a one to one comparison and certainly not in this choice. - Billyv

No doubt that Eminem is very talented, but I choose Bohemian Rhapsody because it is a wonderful and beautiful song. - CartoonsGirl

I've got Lose Yourself on this one. Bohemian Rhapsody is actually, in my opinion, the most overrated song of all time. There are many songs that deserve more respect than what it gets, Lose Yourself being one of them. - Shake_n_Bake13

Bohemian Rhapsody and Lose Yourself. Very, very hard choice to make. - LightningBlade

2 Echoes (Pink Floyd) or American Pie (Don McLean)

Agree here that American Pie is the choice despite how solid Echoes and Pink Floyd are. American Pie is/was just Too important of a song to take a back seat here. - Billyv

This is difficult. Since I have to be in the right mood for Echoes, but American Pie is enjoyable at any time, the latter gets my vote. - PetSounds

American Pie for me, Don McLean did a great job making this song and Madonna also did a good job. - ArigatoKawaii

Echoes. A beautiful song. - LightningBlade

3 Thiller - (Michael Jackson) or A Day in The Life (The Beatles)

A Day In The Life - no contest. Much better, more important subject matter addressed very creatively, fairly straightforward and understandable, as well as very entertaining, musically solid and performed superbly. - Billyv

I love both of those songs very much, it's hard to chose really. Thriller is my favorite Michael Jackson song while A Day in the Life is my favorite Beatles song. But I'm going to pick A Day in the Life. - MontyPython

I would choose A Day In The Life. I find Thriller a little overrated. But, hell, even MY PARENTS found it overrated when it was released! - kaitlynrad11

I like Michael Jackson and he's my favorite artist but I'd go with A Day in The Life here. The song's very creative and very good. - LightningBlade

4 Earth Song (Micheal Jackson) or Amazing (Alex Loyyd)

No contest but Earth Song, beside it is all about the world. - ArigatoKawaii

Earth song especially because of the 'Aah! ' screams by MJ and the pro-nature theme of the song. - LightningBlade

5 Just The Way You Are (Bruno Mars) or Never Say Never (Justin Bieber)

Yes, well I don't really think there's any sort of fair comparison between Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber, and I think the list creator likely intended a severe mismatch here. - Billyv

I pick Just the Way You Are. Even though I hate that song as well, there's at least some originality put in to it. Anything is better than Justin Bieber.

By a long shot, as you know it, Just The Way You Are. You've made a bad comparison between Bruno and Beiber. I liked Bruno ever since I listened to his collab with Eminem in Bad Meets Evil on Lighters. - LightningBlade

Just The Way You Are.

6 Call Me Maybe (Carly Ray Jespen) or Down (Jay Sean)

I despise both songs, but I pick Call Me Maybe. - MontyPython

Call me Maybe, confessing that I was a big fan of this and still do. - ArigatoKawaii

Down wins but I also like Call Me Maybe - BigBrotherSucks

7 Unfinished Sympathy (Massive Attack) or I Had This Thing (Royksopp)

Both are firm favourites of mine. Very similar heartbreaking poetry, very similar mind-soothing vibes, but still radically contrasted. - PositronWildhawk

8 Space Oddity (David Bowie) or Rocket Man (Elton John)

This is a tough call - great songs, great artists, great performances, same unique subject matter... Space Oddity. - no Wait... I think it's going to be a long, long time before I can decide... - Billyv

The David Bowie classic, Space Oddity. - LightningBlade

9 Ghosts N' Stuff (Deadmau5) or We Are Here to Make Some Noise (Armin Van Buuren) V 1 Comment
10 Baby (Justin Bieber) or Love Me Like That (R5)

I don't even know what Love Me Like That is, but I'm picking it. - MontyPython

Love Me Like That wins even know it is not that great it is still better than Baby - BigBrotherSucks

I have no clue what R5 is but baby is my least favourite song, so love me like that. - DapperPickle

Love Me Like That sounds awful. Baby sounds awful. Um, none. - Music_Lover123

The Contenders

11 Retrograde (James Blake) or a Case for Shame (Moby)
12 Good Vibrations (The Beach Boys) or Light My Fire (The Doors)

Ah dammit! It's so hard to choose! They both rock! But I'm gonna have to pick... Light My Fire. - MontyPython

Writing the answer to this question, I'm pickin' up good vibrations. - BeatlesFan1964

Good vibrations are appreciated but I prefer she'd Light My Fire - Billyv

I'd prefer The Doors' Light my Fire. - LightningBlade

13 Let It Be (The Beatles) or Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon and Garfunkel)

Same as Monty said - absolutely love Let It Be which comforts me here on Earth, but Bridge Over Troubled Water takes me closer to Heaven - Billyv

Hmm... Tough one. I'm a really big Beatles fan, but I'm leaning more towards Bridge Over Troubled Water. - MontyPython

Let it Be - anything and everything is so good about this song even though it can have flaws. - ArigatoKawaii

14 Nothin Bout You (Bob) or Love The Way You Lie (Eniem)

Hard Question but I will go Love The Way You Lie - BigBrotherSucks

15 This Night (Filo & Peri) or Hold On to Me (Armin Van Buuren)
16 Superhuman (Au5 Remix) or Promises (Skrillex Remix)

This is an important question for electronic music fans. Do you take the time to see the art and beauty of dubstep, or just go for some mainstream noise to take the soul from the genre? I go for the former. - PositronWildhawk

17 Your Song (Elton John) or She's Always a Woman (Billy Joel)

She's Always a Woman is gorgeous and underrated, Your Song is bloated with cornball lyrics and overplayed to death.

18 Wterloo Sunset (The Kinks) or Behind Blue Eyes (The Who)

Good choices! Waterloo Sunset and The Kinks can often be underappreciated but Behind Blue Eyes, probably my favorite of The Who, gets my vote - Billyv

I love love love love love love love love love love love LOVE The Who! So that's why I pick Behind Blue Eyes. - MontyPython

19 Breathe (Fred) or Rise Above (Electus)
20 Incense and Peppermints (The Strawberry Alarm Clock) or White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane)

Go ask Alice, would ya?! White Rabbit catches much more to me - the magnitude and impact of the delivery. - Billyv
