Top Ten Books You Have to Read

This list is purely my opinion, and if you want to add your own that's fine by me. Just keep in mind that the order of the books isn't important to me, because I have a lot of books that I think are very influential. It's just the fact that they're in the list that counts.
The Top Ten
1 To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

A book that changed the way I see the world. It adds a whole new perspective on life and is a literary masterpiece, to say the least.

2 The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton

A heart-wrenching book that you can spend hours mulling over.

3 Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

One of the most famous series of our time, even if you're not a fantasy fan, you should give this a try. It's adored by readers young and old.

4 The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

A book that has right to be famous. It unravels beautifully and pulls at your heartstrings just enough. It's a romance, but it's also so much more.

5 The Underground Railroad

It's historical and brimming with importance, unlike some crap that we read today.

6 Moby Dick by Herman Melville

A classic that is said to be one of the greatest books ever written.

7 War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy

War and Peace maybe isn't the book that seems the most appealing, and it may be a bit boring for some people. But I think, arguably, that it's a very interesting and important book to read.

8 The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

A retelling of a horrific event in history. A book you have to read no matter what.

9 The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Not exactly an old-timey classic, but a bold story that gives a new perspective on racism.

10 The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien

Another classic that is well-known and well-loved.
