Animals that Should've Been Added in Zoo Tycoon 2
We know that there are plenty of animals that were already added officially to Zoo Tycoon 2 (including its expansion packs like Endangered Species, African Adventure, Marine Mania, and Extinct Animals). However, there are many animals (adoptable and ambient alike) that should have been added to the game. So, here's the list for that.
Diplodocus is a genus of diplodocid sauropod dinosaurs whose fossils were first discovered in 1877 by S. W. Williston. Diplodocus is my favorite extinct animal, yet there are no sauropods in the game sadly, so I think that that there should have been a sauropod in Zoo Tycoon 2, and Diplodocus could have been a great addition in my opinion.
If Dimetrodon was added, I think that Edaphosaurus should have been added as its herbivorous (possibly docile) counterpart, possibly inspired by its depiction from BBC's Walking with Prehistoric Monsters.
I bet that this animal would have been great for those who prefer Entelodon or close relatives instead of (or in addition to) the giant warthog (which is basically an oversized warthog).
I'm not sure how would Blue Fang make a decent vanilla-styled adoptable arthropod for Zoo Tycoon 2, but this extinct herbivore sure is possible to implement if done properly! ^_^
Gallimimus was in the first Zoo Tycoon, but not in Zoo Tycoon 2 for whatever reason. So, I think that there should have been another desert dinosaur in Zoo Tycoon 2 so Velociraptor would not be lonely.
As one of the largest mammoths ever and being my favorite mammoth species (since it lived throughout North America, including my home state California), it should have appeared as an adoptable animal, not only as a buildable fossil.
I think this is a missed opportunity, since Australopithecus was basically a chimpanzee that walks almost exactly like a human.
If the fossil skeleton of Embolotherium was added, why not the adoptable Embolotherium to boost the roster for Zoo Tycoon 2 Extinct Animals?
I know we got ring-tailed lemurs already, but more lemur species would have been nice for Zoo Tycoon 2.
Obviously, indris are not in captivity, but neither are mountain gorillas, which do appear in Zoo Tycoon 2. I believe that this large lemur should have been added.

Just like the Embolotherium above, its skeleton was added, but not the adoptable animal version of it. So I think that this extinct deer should have been added as well, just for those who prefer this deer species over the already-added bush-antlered deer.
Parasaurolophus is a genus of ornithopod dinosaur that lived in what is now North America during the Late Cretaceous Period, about 76.5–74.5 million years ago. Hadrosaurs should have been added to Zoo Tycoon 2, and why not including Parasaurolophus, the most well-known of the hadrosaur dinosaurs?
We got the Baird's tapir, so why not bring back the Malayan tapir as another tapir for the game?
Baboons are African and Arabian Old World monkeys belonging to the genus Papio, part of the subfamily Cercopithecinae.
I doubt that this frog could be added as an adoptable animal due to its tiny size, but it could work as a tropical rainforest ambient animal.
I have no idea why the woolly mammoth didn't return, despite it being a very popular species.
This could work well as a new tundra or alpine rhino species, alongside the tundra's woolly rhinos.
