The Dumbest/Worst Phineas and Ferb Theories

This is a list of the dumbest and worst Phineas and Ferb theories that are actually being believed. Throughout this list, I am going to present evidence for why I think these theories are false, conjectural, or just blatantly awful.

Keep in mind, this list is my opinion. You may present any counter-argument that you may have, but don't try to fight with me if you think I'm way off. Do feel free to add comments and other ridiculous theories to this list.
The Top Ten
1 Candace, suffering from schizophrenia, dies. Then Linda reads her diary and asks Walt Disney to create a program in memory of her.

It's set in a fictional universe wherein the laws of physics don't apply. Seeing things that don't exist in real life are in no way indicative of schizophrenia.

Also, Candace would have to have hallucinated Doofenshmirtz's inventions (at least until Season 4) and battles with Perry, which she doesn't know about. Phineas and Ferb were on several occasions engaged in their projects without Candace even knowing about them. And in-universe, the zebra turns out to be real. She's not schizophrenic.

I have no disrespect for those who have schizophrenia in real life, but this theory is awful. Candace is not imagining what the boys are doing. Just because Linda never sees what Phineas and Ferb do doesn't mean that other people can't.

Dan Povenmire even disproves this theory, saying, and I quote, "What would that have been like? 'Mr. Disney, my daughter died tragically. Could you make a funny cartoon from the schizophrenic ramblings in her diary?' 'Well, you are in luck, ma'am, because all of our living non-schizophrenic writers are completely out of ideas!'"

2 Phineas got bullied a lot in school and killed, so Candace, unable to handle his death, built an imaginary world where he still exists.

This is basically the same as Candace's diary theory above with Phineas being the dead one instead of Candace. Even though in the episode Act Your Age, Candace never once interacts with Phineas, the protagonist of that episode. And Phineas has a cameo in the episode Doof 101, but Candace doesn't.

For this one to work, all of the characters aside from Candace who regularly interact with Phineas would also have to be dead. Also, it's worth noting that within Danville, Phineas is quite popular with and well-liked by his peers rather than being a social outcast as this theory implies.

3 Phineas and Ferb are a figment of Candace's imagination.

Obviously not, otherwise Candace would also have to imagine Doofenshmirtz building the inators which destroy Phineas and Ferb's inventions. Considering she canonically wants to bust Phineas and Ferb so badly, that seems counterproductive.

They just ripped off the Rugrats theory.

4 Ferb has crippling mental issues.

No, he doesn't. He just isn't very talkative.

5 Dr. Doofenshmirtz is Candace's psychologist.

Of all people, how would Doofenshmirtz be able to help Candace with her mental problems? We don't even know if Candace has confirmed mental problems. One way or another, Doofenshmirtz would not be able to help her at all. The most obvious reason for this is that he had an atrocious childhood, so he'd be trying to make Candace "evil" or something.

This is basically just trying to integrate Doofenshmirtz into the Candace is hallucinating theory. It doesn't work. Before the first movie and Season 4, she isn't aware of Doofenshmirtz's existence. Even after that, she doesn't find out about his evil plans and schemes. It doesn't work.

6 Doofenshmirtz is Phineas from the future.

So Phineas can just magically warp to Drusselstein? I sincerely doubt it.

Phineas has no confirmed Germanic roots, a positive childhood, and his head is structurally different from Doofenshmirtz's despite being the same basic shape. And don't worry about Agent P not knowing who Phineashmirtz really is. Going back in time to clean up his messes as a kid already completely destroys the space-time continuum.

He has an elaborate and well-established backstory which doesn't fit into that at all. Also, per Milo Murphy's Law, his persona from the future is Professor Time, not Phineas. And there would be some horrific implications to this, given Doofenshmirtz once dated Linda.

7 Pinhead Pierre is Phineas's father.

Obviously, Pinhead Pierre is a TV show, just like the group's "Team Improbable" show. They're not real. It's just the magic of entertainment, kind of like special effects for a movie.

This one is so stupid that it's hilarious.

8 Doofenshmirtz is Phineas's father
9 Candace is the true villain.

No, she isn't. In Phineas and Ferb Get Busted, she goes to extremes to rescue Phineas and Ferb from the military school.

In Traffic Cam Caper, she sacrifices her chance at busting her brothers to save Phineas's life. In Lake Nose Monster, she lets the people think she's deluded and psychotic to protect the Lake Nose Monster. In Gaming the System, she fights tooth and nail against a digitized version of Buford to protect Phineas and Ferb from him.

In Chronicles of Meep, she goes headlong into space to rescue Phineas and Ferb from aliens. And she sacrifices her chance at busting them to save them in Meepless in Seattle. She destroys her DVD so as not to bust Phineas on his birthday in the Phineas birthday episode. In Agent Doof, she actively seeks to keep baby Phineas and Ferb from endangering themselves.

In the first movie, she explicitly says her goal is to protect her brothers and ends up deliberately weaponizing her inability to bust them to save the day. And she does everything she can to help in Mission Marvel. In the Star Wars episode, she defects from the Empire to the Rebels to save Phineas.

She helps save the world in Phineas and Ferb Save Summer and again in the series finale. She also came through when the chips were down in the Milo Murphy's Law crossover. I have some problems with the Candace Against the Universe movie, but it still ends with Candace as one of the heroes. She's not the villain.

10 Perry the Platypus and Agent P are two different entities.

The very first episode has Major Monogram telling Agent P to retain a cover identity as a mindless domestic pet.

In the Phineas and Ferb movie "Across the 2nd Dimension," Major Monogram reveals why that rule is in place. It wouldn't be safe for Phineas and Ferb to know Agent P's true identity. Earlier in the movie, you can also clearly see that the pet shop Perry came from is run by O.W.C.A., which doubly reinforces the fact that Perry and Agent P are, in fact, the same platypus.

The Contenders
11 Perry the Platypus is Candace and Phineas's father
12 The mom knew it all

Obviously not, if she could never see what happened. If she knew, she would either have to be detained or the show would have been over a lot sooner.

13 Darth Vader is Phineas and Candace’s father
14 Norm the Robot is Phineas’s father
15 Doofenshmirtz works for O.W.C.A.

There are two instances where Doofenshmirtz does actually work for the O.W.C.A. The first time, Doof lost his confidence in his evil abilities. The second time, in a spin-off series that never launched, he has actually given up evil.

16 Candace created Phineas and Ferb
17 Linda was married to Doofenshmirtz
18 Charlene Doofenshmirtz is Phineas and Candace’s mother and lives a double life
19 Charlene Doofenshmirtz is Ferb’s mother
20 Ferb isn’t English but French

There is at least one reference in every episode that Ferb is English, not French. (Try to see if you can find them all!)

21 Phineas is Vanessa’s brother
22 Thaddeus, Thor, and Mandy are the cousins of the Flynn-Fletchers
23 Buford hates Baljeet
24 Heinz Doofenshmirtz is Ferb’s mother
25 Ferb is part or fully alien
