Top 10 Best Regular Show Characters

The Top Ten
Mordecai Mordecai is one of the two main protagonists of Regular Show, along with his best friend Rigby. He made his debut in the non-canon short "2 in the AM PM" as a human cashier, who then morphs into a prototype Mordecai-like character with a fanny pack. He later makes his first official appearance in the... read more

I love Mordecai. In a way, he reminds me of myself.

I feel that Mordecai had to deal with too much of Rigby's shenanigans in the first three seasons. I honestly felt bad when he was constantly getting roped and pressured into doing unorthodox things just for their friendship.

As the later seasons rolled on, Rigby became arguably the best character in the series, and everyone forgot about Mordecai. After dealing with all he had to in the beginning, I believe that good ol' Mordecai, the dude who will always be there when Rigby needs him most, is the best character in the series (except for Benson, whom I somehow like even more).

Rigby Rigby is a character from the cartoon Regular Show created by JG Quintel. He's best friends with Mordecai (A talking Blue Jay). Together they slack around and have fun in the park. A place where they work and have the risk of being fired from.

I like Rigby because, out of everyone, he has progressed the most on the show. Even though Mordecai is the more level-headed of the two, Rigby is quickly catching up. At the beginning of the show, Rigby was a lazy, whiny slacker, but over the years, he has matured and progressed.

He'll do anything he has to for Eileen. He got a job just to prove how responsible he was to Mordecai and Benson. He went back to high school, and whenever Mordecai is sulking from getting dumped, it's Rigby who pulls him out of the mud. Not to mention, he's physically stronger now because his punches can hurt Mordecai. He has become a responsible and hardworking character who is still funny and awesome (and can be immature at times). Sometimes it even seems like he has his life more in order than Mordecai.

Pops Maellard

Good old Pops. I remember when I watched Regular Show with my good old friends earlier in the Regular Cycle, back when every episode that came out was extremely funny and good, and we loved Pops. Every time he was on the screen, we got all happy. The episode where Pops is a wrestler is just Pops comedy gold. He's a cartoon show legend, and whenever I see Pops in the episodes today, I remember the good old days before my friends moved, who I was talking about earlier, and I just get a small tear inside.

Pops should be at number one. Each time he comes on screen, talking in his wobbly English accent, I laugh. He is actually a good friend to everyone at the park, and I think we all feel bad when he cries. Pops is something that cannot be explained. He is and forever will be... a cartoon legend.

Skips

He is the glue that holds everyone together. If it weren't for Skips, there would be no show. Yet, the show is centered around Mordecai and Rigby. From a writer's standpoint, this makes for a creative and somewhat original storyline that can be easily built upon by developing the character of Skips. This was done quite brilliantly and subtly to the tee.

Over five seasons, the background story is slowly progressed whenever Skips reveals information about the past. This isn't just a background to the characters in the show but to the world that those characters live within. Skips is literally the writer embodied within the writing. He is immortal but not "that kind of immortal." Skips is the unspoken narrator of the story.

His past is painful, yet he holds onto it with his heart, forever protecting those within. He is shown as the only "real" character in the show by being the only one that can adapt to different situations. This show is literally the artist saving his art.

Benson Dunwoody Benson Dunwoody is a main character on Cartoon Network's Regular Show. He is a gumball machine, also known as The Park's manager. As the manager, he is the boss of every park worker (with the possible exception of Pops). He has a short temper and has a tendency of yelling at Mordecai and Rigby every... read more

Dude, the guy is secretly awesome. You never know what hidden talent he will show. Hypersensitive, apparently boring, unpredictable, funny, and an adorable angry gumball, he also has some kind of boyish charm. He is the dragon of the Minnie Hooky and the best drummer in the universe. The gumball has rock and roll in his veins. Make him angry, and you will end up deaf in a crater in the ground opened by his powerful angry shouts. Sorry for my English, but I love the guy. I don't understand how a dude like Skips or even Rigby is better rated.

Muscle Man Mitchell (Mitch) "Muscle Man" Sorrenstein is the sixth main character of Regular Show. He is one of the groundskeepers of the Park. He is a middle-aged, green, strong, and obese human, who is often seen with his best friend, Hi Five Ghost. Muscle Man made his first debut as a cameo character in the... read more

Muscle Man is so funny. My brother says that Muscle Man has a scream like a pig, and that cracks both of us up. My friends and I like imitating Muscle Man's my mom jokes. I like his gruff voice and weird personality. Sometimes, I think I'm a bit like Starla. Starla is one lucky girl.

Best character on the show. Easily. MY MOM! I don't know why he is not in the top three. He is the best. Funny, always looking forward to seeing him in an episode!

He is the fattest... I mean the craziest person to run into when in a fight. This fifth-ranked guy has made his way to the top ten list, in my opinion.

Hi Five Ghost

He's ranked 4 for a reason. He's Muscle Man's lifelong friend and the most awesome ghost ever known on Cartoon Network! He has made his mark. Next are my top three favorite characters from this show.

I like Hi Five Ghost. He rarely says anything and all he does is follow Muscle Man around. He needs character development. So does Thomas, but I don't like him as much.

The nicer of the two. He doesn't seem to mind Mordecai and Rigby. I just wish he would talk more.

Eileen Roberts

Eileen's pretty cool. She doesn't judge guys based on their qualifications when it comes to friendship. She's so sweet and puts up with a lot of crap from that nasty Joanne.

She's Rigby's secret love and a coffee girl. She has become intertwined with Rigby's, Mordecai's, and others' fates just by meeting them. She has made it onto the list!

"Eileen: 'Aww, is Rigby ignoring you because you're not a beautiful swan yet?'"

Rigby stares.

"Eileen: 'Hey, Rigby, look at me. I just laid sea turtle eggs, and now I'm going to swim out to sea, though many of my hatchlings won't live to adulthood.'"

Rigby skims his child-sized putter and sarcastically says, "Let's get this over with."

Eileen throws cilantro at Rigby and says, "Woo-hoo, congratulations on second place, Rigby."

Rigby groans, "Uhh."

Cloudy "CJ" Jay

CJ has depth. She is cool, fun to be around, and a very considerate person.

Mordecai and Rigby messed up many times, but Mordecai really messed up with CJ. Despite this, she was willing to reconcile with Mordecai and Margaret. Even Mordecai's mom loved her just as much.

It's just my opinion, but I think Mordecai is much happier with her. I don't hate Margaret, but lately, her involvement has become too complicated. It's like there are more broken hearts than smiles when Margaret is around. So, CJ for president!

Cloudy Jay is awesome! She is the prettiest character in the whole show. I prefer her over Margaret. She's fun and not boring like Margaret. She's the kind of character I'd want as a friend.

Baby Ducks

I like them because they are connected with Mordecai. And you know, I love Mordecai!

These should be at a higher rank. They saved their mom and the park.

A bunch of baby ducks, send them to the moon!

The Newcomers

? Jeremy

He's from Replaced! He's best friends with Chad, but he's cool because he has a cool phone.

? Gene
The Contenders
Margaret Smith

"Local News Legend" totally changed my view of her. It showed how determined, strong, and brave she is, contrasting with the "feminine girly girl" people call her.

She was so cool and made Mordecai have a weakness, which gives the relationship more depth, unlike CJ.

Margaret is so attractive. Why isn't this sexy robin in the top ten? I demand to know!

Thomas

Even though Thomas was a background character like Hi Five Ghost, he is still better. I was so mad at the end of the Russian spy episode. It was obvious the creators ran out of ideas, so they made up this story to get rid of Thomas! What a rip-off! They should've made that episode about HFG.

No, Thomas is a Russian spy. I like him, and I was sad when he left the show. I ranked him as my third favorite character. Thomas even saved the park because he didn't want them to be hurt. He is still good even as a Russian spy. Bring him to at least #3.

Death

I've seen people dress Death in a douchebag's outfit (props to you if you know what I'm talking about), but this is something new. In the short time he's on screen, I'm always laughing.

Death was neat. I liked his design and personality a lot. I also liked his wife too.

For those of you who don't know, he is based on the singer/bassist from the band Motörhead, Lemmy. That alone should get him in at least the top five, just because he's so cool!

Techmo

This guy is so cool, and he is a good friend of Skips. He was once possessed by a computer virus! He is a technomancer and a storm chaser with that awesome car. He is sort of like a cyborg and has a panini maker in his arm, for crying out loud! This dude should be in the top 15, at least!

Techmo is so cool. My other favorites are Pops and Thomas, but Techmo just looks and acts cool.

God of Basketball

The basketball guy is amazing as he tries to teach Rigby and Mordecai how to play basketball. He also has a cool car which he drives. At the end of the episode, he helps Rigby and Mordecai win by giving them basketball powers. Then, he was also in Exit 9B where he is seen fighting the hammer until he gets hit by the no-rules guy. He is also seen in the episode Bank Shot where he keeps track of Rigby's shot after it goes out of the window and then comes back in play to score against the bank's guy.

Garrett Bobby Ferguson
Don

I like him more than Rigby by a long shot!

Death Bear
The Wizard

He was seen in The Power, Terror Tales of the Park, and Skips Strikes. He was a crude character who killed everyone in Terror Tales, and he had his keyboard stolen from him by Rigby. Also, he was in the episode Skips Strikes. He used magic to turn a bowling ball into a rabbit. In that episode, he was with the team The Magical Elements.

I remember when Rigby stole the Wizard's electric piano when the wizard was peeing in the bush.

Guardian of the Friend Zone
Low Five Ghost

This guy is ranked 9. He's a cool, transparent guy you'd want to hang out with! He is the man. Being High Five's brother and having a significant role in the episode "See You There," he's made his way into my top ten.

The Master Prank Caller
Were-Skunk
Bert Coleman
Starla

She should've been in at least the top ten! She's a tough, yet somewhat relatable girl with attitude, and I like her more than Techmo, High Five, and Margaret, just to name a few. Vote Starla!

She has scored ranking 10 for her... Well, she's right for Muscle Man. She's crazy when you make her mad. Maybe more than Muscle Man! Ha ha. Don't mess with her.

She's the manliest woman in the show, plus when she is mad she has super strength!
