In the metal community, so called "elitist metalheads" will bash popular bands that play a style that they don't enjoy. Most of these bands come from the Nu Metal and -core subgenres.

2 Cradle of Filth
Cradle of Filth are a British extreme metal band that formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles.
Great band lots of people hate them and they are wrong to.

Oh definitely. Most metalheads seem to hate this band for different reasons. I think they sound pretty decent but there's much more better bands out there.
