Just because they are influenced by pop punk bands like Green Day and Blink-182, it doesn't mean they are rock. 5 Seconds of Summer are the biggest posers of rock today. They try too hard to be "punk". Who cares if they play their instruments. They are still not rock. They do not even write all of their songs and have too many producers for one album.
5 Seconds of Summer is just another commercial product for tween girls who like One Direction. If they want punk, listen to Ramones or Misfits.
