Top 10 Best Kids TV Shows

SpongeBob seasons 1-4 are really great and yes, the whole family can watch. But after season four, don't even watch it. Those seasons shouldn't even count. In my opinion, SpongeBob only ran for four seasons.

Counting seasons 1-4, I would put it at three or four on my personal list behind Avatar: The Last Airbender and Scooby Doo, and depending on the day, Tom and Jerry. It's a show that I really, really enjoyed as a kid and it's really funny and entertaining.

If I had to give a negative, it is that it's a better generic kids show. What I mean by that is the jokes are almost always better than other kids shows. A lot of the episodes are incredibly well written and creative. However, think of the template kids show and you are getting a much higher quality version of it.

It's like The Big Bang Theory. The show is great but it's a template sitcom, not widely different in structure and often content than How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Friends, etc. Avatar is different and Scooby Doo/Tom and Jerry kind of invented the modern template so I give them a leg up.

This is an excellent show with great humor, animation, music, and atmosphere. I really feel like I'm in a small town in Oregon! The characters are excellent, mainly the two main characters. Despite being pre-teens, they act quite childish and friendly, which isn't a bad thing.

Because of their younger nature, they are more accepting, positive, and forgiving, not like realistic pre-teens who are grouchy, rude, and disrespectful. Besides, those traits belong to other characters, so many, I won't even mention their names.

While Dipper and Mabel are already great, Mabel is the most relatable character to me from a TV show or movie since Luna Lovegood. Wendy takes the cake as the BEST character. Not only is she just as kind-hearted and fun-loving as Dipper and Mabel, but she's three years their senior.

Wendy is the prime example of what a teenager SHOULD be, but isn't: not embarrassed by hanging out with those younger than her, kind, fun-loving, goofy-yet-mature, hates drama, has a good relationship with her family, doesn't try to be skimpy with her clothes, accepts the fact Dipper has a crush on her, and has a job.

I have never seen a more perfect interpretation of a teenager, nor have I seen one more unrealistic. But it SHOULD be realistic. This is by far the best cartoon I've ever seen. I only came across it because I looked up "secrets in kid shows" on YouTube and clicked on the wrong video. I strongly recommend this to ANYBODY who is alive. I swear, you won't regret it!

Regular Show is so peak, so underrated. Amazing story. Amazing characters. This is hands down the best animated show ever made.

In my opinion, it's even better than SpongeBob. The reason I like it is that it's not like a normal kids' show. It's dark at times, but so funny. It can be inappropriate, but that's what life is.

I also like it because it makes fun of lots of stuff, making it kind of like satire, but also really sad at times.

Everything above this is pretty much junk. I honestly don't know why I like this show so much, but I think it has something to do with the characters. This should be in the top ten at least. I could watch this for hours.

This show is AMAZING! I grew up with this show and I hope my future kids will too! I could watch this show for hours and never get bored. The characters are never boring, and the show is just overall the best and should be #1.

As much as I love Spongebob, I gotta admit Gumball is better. It didn't go downhill, plus it knew when to end. Spongebob, however, did go downhill and didn't know when to end. Sorry, Spongebob, but Gumball is better.

Also, have you guys noticed that Regular Show isn't on TV anymore? I usually just use Netflix or Hulu, but every time I'm in a hotel and watching Cartoon Network, it's either Craig of the Creek or Gumball.

The Fairly OddParents was one of the best cartoons until 2009 when Cosmo gave birth to Poof, a baby fairy. After that, there weren't enough ideas from the writers to make many more good episodes, and then it went downhill.

This is the only good show still airing reruns on Nicktoons besides SpongeBob. I don't want to see Sanjay and Craig or Breadwinners ever again!

This deserves to be in the top 3! While SpongeBob and Regular Show are mindless cartoons without meaning, Phineas and Ferb is a great example of what every show should be. It has amazing music, great animation, and the most wonderful characters I've ever seen. They don't make gags about being mean to each other, getting hurt, or even the lame bathroom humor. The jokes are actually HILARIOUS, if you ask me.

Phineas is optimistic, cheerful, and tries his best to make sure everybody has a good time. He is a big part of sending good messages to kids about staying positive even when the going gets tough. People have said things about how the characters "break the law," but really they don't think they are doing anything wrong. Usually, the adults providing materials to the children will ask if Phineas is too young to be doing what they are doing. Instead of lying, like most children do in TV shows, he outright states that yes, yes he is.

In the very first episode, there is a whole scene where the man providing equipment to Phineas and Ferb has a discussion with Phineas about how he looks awfully young to be building a rollercoaster, but all his papers are in order. I read reviews on this show saying that this show is repetitive. It does in fact follow a formula, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is repetitive. The adventures that Phineas, Ferb, and the rest of the gang go on are always creative.

Then there's my favorite character who everyone seems to hate: Candace. In (almost) every single episode of Phineas and Ferb, Candace makes it her mission to "bust" her brothers to her mom about whatever they are doing. Her constant screaming can get annoying, but her efforts to bust Phineas and Ferb and just how far she will go to do it are always hilarious. She may seem like a rude, mean, stereotypical teenager, but in many episodes, she is shown to care about her brothers.

Cool characters, interesting plot lines, and it's a fun show for kids and adults. What I really like about this show is that the main aspect is Finn and Jake's cool adventures, but the show doesn't always just focus on those characters. Almost every character has a backstory. Finn and Jake, Simon and Marceline, even Root Beer Guy!

The Fionna and Cake episodes are great, and the Stakes series as well. Adventure Time is a show for everybody. There are funny episodes, sad episodes, episodes that expand the plot line, etc. I guess what I'm just trying to say is that Adventure Time rocks!

Pokemon is my childhood, but I have something to say about it. I've watched loads of animes, and this one is probably the best (well, definitely season 1-5). Anyway, all the seasons are great. It was funny, and there were great adventures, and it's just great!

But after season X and Y, it really went downhill. Ash's new voice is dumb, all his old Pokemon are basically gone, and there are a bunch of new, unoriginal characters. But forget that, watch all of the Indigo League and the first movie, and that will do you. It's just amazing, those ones! So yeah, I love Pokemon except after XY.

This is by far the best show aimed at preschoolers of all time. Not only did it have a formula that some found repetitive, but they used that formula in one of the most welcoming environments I have ever seen. First off, the animation style is one of the coolest I have ever seen. It's Traci Page Johnson doing paper and felt cut-outs for the backgrounds, and it shows that kids' shows can be super creative in terms of their animation.

Also, I love the fact that this show blends animation and live action into one unique entity, creating something that I really wish were in more kids' shows nowadays. Additionally, I love how, because it was a mix of animation and live action, the characters can have a lot more expression and feelings, allowing the voice actors to bring more expressions to their characters.

Here's a fun fact about me: I never really replied to Steve or Joe when I was watching this show. I always wanted to be the guy who was the host of the show. Yeah, I was a weird kid back in the day.

Another thing that I liked about the show is how, due to its interactivity with the home viewer, the hosts Steve Burns and/or Donovan Patton were able to build a relationship with the viewers, kind of like how Fred Rogers did with his show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". That was, without a doubt, super beautiful, and in my opinion, it helped me say that this show is the best recent show aimed at preschoolers of all time.

For a show that tackles many realistic subjects to be this low is baffling. Arthur can tackle subjects like trauma, dyslexia, and even cancer with maturity for children! If you don't believe me, please go watch the episode "April 9th" or at least a review of it. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Very underrated. One of my favourite shows from the ages five to seven, without a doubt. Everything about it taught a great message, from each separate episode to even the theme song.

It has so many quirky, lovable characters, and even a few characters that made me want to tear my eyes out (D.W., I'm talking about you). But it's so funny and enjoyable and very realistic for a kids' TV show. So much better than a lot of the shows on TV now.

When I first watched it, I enjoyed it with all my love, but now, it doesn't have the same spark of joy. That's when I realized that this show stopped entertaining me as I grew up.

I noticed that there was no true or direct plot to make a story. I also realized that this show was for younger audiences, where they would be more entertained by the wackiness and weird humor, which is what a children's show is going for. So, in my opinion, this show isn't the best, but will definitely entertain younger viewers, most likely under 10 years old.

When I think about this show, it brings me true nostalgia of the old and new episodes of Tom and Jerry, maintaining the same feel of greatness instead of worsening over time like Spongebob or The Simpsons.

Great show for kids, just make sure that kids know that everything on the show is fake. Unless you want to be like someone I know and break an arm because of this show.

Slapstick violence, but it would never happen to your children so you don't need to worry about that. It's a show that is there to make you laugh.

Come on, Sesame Street is the best kids' show ever made, and it's the first one as well. It was made by PBS, which stands for Public Broadcasting Service, where TV shows were first made and broadcast worldwide. Sesame Street allows kids to learn about everything that is happening and what people do and think about. It helps them become smart and entertained. It has lessons everywhere. It's heaven for TV and it's still running to this day.

Everyone knows that the PBS Sprout version wasn't as good, which somewhat ruined it, but go on WUCF, where the original one moved, and you'll see that it's the first and best kids' show of all time. If it gets cancelled, then kids' television would end forever.

My sister and I would watch it all day, every day, and my sister watched it so much because her name is Carly. I just want to see it again.

I love this show. I used to not watch it because I was worried I wouldn't like it. But now, I love it!

I used to love Thomas the Tank Engine when I was little, which I still do. I was born in 2009 on January 30. Thomas and Friends was sadly canceled in 2019. But Thomas and Friends is going to come back to life in 2028. I'm making a new Thomas series called Thomas The Loud Engine. I don't really like The Loud House, but everyone else does, so I had to do this. That's why it's called that.

The plot is about Thomas going to Royal Woods in Mexico to live with his friend Carlos of Mexico. You know, the Great Race. Oh, and I'm not trying to ruin the original Thomas and Friends.

I used to love watching this as a child, and I don't understand why some people criticize it. It's so cute, innocent, and has remained consistent throughout its run. The morals it teaches about friendship can apply to all of us.

So, all of you who are saying how dumb it is probably don't understand what the show teaches us and what we can learn from a kid's show. It may not be as funny or entertaining as other shows, but it's a show that was made for kids, and the lessons it teaches are far more valuable than the laughs got out of some other show. This show is certainly not dumb. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

It has a wide variety of lovable characters, with which most fans can relate to at least one, catchy songs, entertaining scripts, and non-repetitive storylines. The main reason why I used to love this so much, and still do, is that one episode is just as good as another. Anyway, peace, have a good day, laugh out loud.

This show is creepy, but creepily lovable. The reason why I couldn't watch this show is that my sister said it was creepy and always changed the channel. But if I could, I would watch it!

I've always thought this show was so creepy. It used to scare me a lot when I was younger, but for some reason, I gravitated towards it. It's very unique and atypical for a cartoon.

Courage in the middle of Chowder and MLP? No thanks. This show was and still is awesome. It may not deserve number one because of its dark themes, but this show is gold compared to most of the shows lower than this!

This should seriously be #1. It is a wholesome, heartwarming, family-friendly sitcom with great morals, songs, jokes, characters, and pretty much everything you could want from a show like this. As much as it's true I hate Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig, this show's excellence even surpasses the awfulness of both those shows combined. And if you know me, you'd know that that's really saying something, because Breadwinners is in very close competition with Sanjay and Craig for the worst show ever. But this show, by far, is the greatest thing to ever come from television. I just wish it didn't have to end.

If you saw the movie Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the Lake Monster, you would find out that Daphne and Fred were never meant to be. For some reason, Shaggy gets a crush on Velma in that movie after he falls off the Mystery Machine.

It's so easy to remember the things of Mystery Incorporated because I own every movie, every series, and every episode from them. So if you have any questions, do your best to answer me. Figure it out yourself to tell me. Because, I'm always available to tell you something about Scooby-Doo without looking on the internet like people that are on computers every day.

Anyway, a big secret is that Shaggy's future wife is Velma and Daphne's husband is Fred. But in the Curse of the Lake Monster, they say that Daphne and Fred are not meant to be.

This show is amazing! The music is far better than the music that kids listen to nowadays. The plots may be jolly, but they can get edgy, like a foggy island occupied by a Flying Dutchman-like ghost who wanted her boot back, perilous bodies of water, or a murky city occupied by a supervillain who was afraid of flowers.

Tasha may be a bit bossy, but she's overall a good character and Uniqua's best friend. Too bad it was cancelled. Now we deal with childish superheroes, Simpson rip-off family of cats and rabbits, and a Stewie Griffin rip-off whining about how life as a middle child stinks.

Bill Nye: The Science Guy is a show that I personally would watch even if it wasn't for a school assignment. Bill Nye adds so much enthusiasm and humor to this show, making it much more humorous and entertaining for younger students than documentaries (not including The Magic School Bus).

The best show to let your kids watch. It is an excellent way for them to learn and experiment. Bill Nye himself is a wonderful person.
