How is Cube below E when E doesn't even write his own, and most the NWA album is written by Cube...

202 Tech n9ne Tech n9ne ...read more.

Tech N9ne, like Eminem, has many brilliant lyrics out there. Being the number one independent rapper in the world, also owning the number one independent record label Strange Music, Tech is definitely one of the best rap artist in the phase of mankind. Tech can get pretty lyrical, for example, the following songs: I'm Not a Saint, Nobody Cares, Low and Nobody Cares are one of many great lyrical songs by Tech N9ne. If you listen carefully to his lyrics, I'm pretty sure you will agree with me.

203 John Prine

John has deceptively simple lyrics. But there is some magic about them.

204 Hopsin Hopsin Marcus Jamal Hopson, better known by his stage name Hopsin, is an American rapper, record producer, director and actor from Los Angeles, California.

As many as you may know, Hopsin is a brilliant man and makes good music. Successfully, owning his successful record label Funk Volume, Hopsin managed to make it into XXL, and have his fellow signees' Jarren Benton and Dizzy Wright make it to XXL. Hopsin is successful and one of the best rappers alive. Hopsin inspired me to be independent and to be irrelevant to what society has to say about me. Listen to his song Tears To Snow

205 Jon Bellion Jon Bellion

After writing the hook for Eminem's hit song, The Monster, there is no doubt this man can't be considered as one of the Top Ten lyricist of all time. Jon has many great songs, believe it or not, his song Paper Planes reaches your soul the first time you hear it. He also has an amazing style, and I've never heard an artist with the same style that Jon acquires.

206 Kinetics & One Love

The hip hop duo from New York City, by the names of Jeremy Dussolliet and Time Sommers, better known as Kinetics & One Love, are no doubt amazing lyricist. They've written songs for many mainstream artist. They're well known for writing the hook for B.O. B's Grammy nominated single Airplanes. They have songs that will guarantee make you burst into tears. Their song Sign Language touched me in a way you can't imagine. It has to be one of the best songs I've ever listened to. It literally made me cry the first time, and several other times.

207 Tyler Carter Tyler Carter

Ex vocalist of Woe, Is Me. Vocalist of Issues, Tyler has released many songs with the band. In my opinion, the most lyrical song by Issues has to be Disappear (Remember When). Tyler's voice is amazing, and he's a very good looking man himself. I would consider him a good lyricist, but the best. Nevertheless less, feel free to check Issues out, maybe you may disagree.

208 Madchild

Madchild is one half of the hip hop duet, Swollen Members. Madchild has a radical voice and it's just impressive, defiantly gives him character. Madchild has funky lyrics, which in some occasions, are considered genius. In the song Jacques Cousteau, Madchild, as I quote, said, "I spit the nicest ether, eating all these rappers like a slice of pizza." As soon as he said that, he became one of my favorite rappers. I think that verse is genius and he definitely deserves to have more credit for spitting his ether in an amazing way.

209 Paul Westerberg

Tragically underrated on this list! Should be up there with Springsteen!

210 Chris Whitley

How come nobody talk about that great artist, it always amazed me. So deep, so full of heart, an amazing guitarist, an amazing songwriter, every chris's songs could be hits, he was such a great melodist, one of the greatest for sure.

211 Fish (Marillion)

Read them and make your own decision but it is clear he is/was way ahead of anybody on the list. Should be number 1 by a mile.

212 Travis Morrison
213 Nikki Sixx Nikki Sixx Nikki Sixx is an American musician, songwriter, radio host, and photographer, best known as the co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter of the band Mötley Crüe.

Very underrated lyricist, Yes I'm talking about the bassist for "Motley Crue". Believe it or not, He's the soul lyricist for Motley. The only thing better than his bass playing is his lyrics, yes sometimes Tommy, Mick, and Vince help write a song, But every song I know of Sixx was involved in the lyric writing process.

214 Mark E Smith

None of these can touch Mark Smith.
