Top 10 Most Annoying Disney Characters

Disney movies have captured the hearts of people of all ages since the first animated feature film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, was released in 1937. With memorable characters, catchy songs, and captivating storylines, Disney has become an iconic part of popular culture. But as much as we love the House of Mouse, there are some characters that just make us cringe. You know the ones, the ones that make you want to throw your popcorn at the screen or fast forward through their scenes. These are the characters that we love to hate, the most annoying Disney characters.

From bumbling sidekicks to bratty princesses, Disney has given us a wide range of characters to love and loathe. But which ones really get under our skin?

Mater (Cars)

Tow Mater, or simply Mater, is a character in Cars and its sequels, Cars 2 and Cars 3, as well as Cars Toons. He is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy and is inspired by an International Harvester tow truck. Mater is known for his humorous personality and strong friendship with Lightning McQueen.

This guy would fit much better in one of those unfunny Happy Madison comedies than in a Pixar film.

The most useless, pathetic, and annoying character to ever come out of Pixar, especially in Cars 2.

The closest thing Pixar has ever made to the Minions in terms of sheer annoyance.
Sharpay Evans (High School Musical)

Why did they think that she deserved her own movie? I mean, she's the worst character to ever come out of the "Wonderful World of Disney!"

Way more annoying than Candace Flynn.
Anna (Frozen)

I am going to put it straight: Anna is selfish and spoiled! She thinks she knows best, she doesn't appreciate Kristoff's help, she loves Hans but ignores Elsa, and it was her own fault she froze at the end.
In Frozen Fever, she is even more spoiled. She isn't grateful, and I wished she remained frozen.

At least some of the other princesses tried to change their situations. Anna just waited for a prince to show up.

Why the hell is Anna first when Mickey Mouse is way more annoying than she is?

She is not just annoying, she is also dangerous. She accepts food from strangers. She needs to learn not to accept anything from strangers and how to say no.

And also the most useless princess in all of Disney, aside from the otherwise less annoying and more attractive Aurora.

She's weak and just waits for her prince to come and save her. She doesn't do anything, and yet loads of people somehow love her.
Chick Hicks (Cars)

Chick Hicks is a fictional character in Pixar's Cars franchise. He is portrayed as a highly competitive and aggressive race car who serves as a rival to Lightning McQueen. Chick is remembered for his win-at-all-costs attitude and his eventual role as a racing commentator in later installments.

Yap, yap, all about winning. Like, nobody cares.

Mickey is corrupted and all he can think of for his company is remaking his greatest movies ever. I know it's just an expression, but Harry Thomas (an Irish critic) creates a better version of Mickey than this one.

I don't care what you say about him being a classic, that doesn't mean he's not annoying.

To quote The Simpsons about Mickey, "My cartoons aren't good, they were just first!"

I always do indeed think that she is just always the prettiest, hottest, sweetest, cutest, most beautiful, and most beloved official Disney Princess there ever at all is of all time. She is indeed always the very best there ever at all is or was or ever will be or shall be. Her very own true personality is curious, adventurous, optimistic, idealistic, compassionate, passionate, perky, feisty, gentle, kind, polite, charismatic, graceful, understanding, sympathetic, sensitive, selfless, patient, plucky, heroic, brave, and independent.

There's a good and not-so-good side to Ariel (I wouldn't call her bad though).
Good Side: Selfless, nice, friendly to others, caring, down to earth (not stuck up at all), and pleasant to be around.
Bad Side: Stubborn, reckless, rebellious, irresponsible, immature, and not that smart.

Every time Disney is given the opportunity to kill off this character, they simply shy away from doing so at the last minute. Why?

This guy needs a nice long vacation down in either Africa or South America.

I had to sit through a 30-minute film about him to watch Coco.
Vanellope von Schweetz (Wreck-It Ralph)

Way more annoying than Stitch. Literally, the only thing that is remotely annoying about Stitch is how overrated his movie is compared to everything else that Disney released in the 2000s (except for Finding Nemo, which is arguably even more annoying and overrated than Lilo & Stitch).

Making the Disney Princesses dress like Fanny Flagg and act like Tumblrinas, being a terrible friend, and wanting to live in a polluted, crime-ridden dump - what's not to dislike?

Likable enough in the first movie, absolutely loathsome and detestable in the second.
Mushu (Mulan)

Worse: he got reincarnated as Donkey from Shrek. No, really, they're not just both played by Eddie Murphy, they're practically the same character!
Though I guess that does explain why Donkey ended up with a dragon.

I can't stand the movie and hate that everyone else keeps insisting on its greatness. Not helping: the overuse of the "dishonor on your cow" line.

I like Mushu, but in the second film, I can't believe that he became an antagonist just because he wanted to stay in his place. Not cool, Mushu, not cool!
Terk (Tarzan)

The most annoying Disney Renaissance character alongside Hugo from Hunchback.

And Disney would never make a more annoying character until Sisu came along 22 years later.
CeCe Jones (Shake It Up)

Even her looks are grossly genetically inferior to those of Zendaya!

Played by the useless third-world dollar store version of Madelaine Petsch.

I honestly found her Ralph Breaks the Internet counterpart to be more likable.

Always blames everyone but herself for every single one of her wrongdoings.
Sadness (Inside Out)

Sadness is a major character in the 2015 Disney and Pixar film Inside Out. She is one of the five emotions inside the mind of Riley Andersen. Voiced by Phyllis Smith, Sadness plays a key role in helping Riley process complex feelings.

Sadness is quite irritating but well executed. In that scene where she touched a memory, it shows how sadness can just overcome you.
Dirk Mann (Austin & Ally)

Should be much higher up on this list than Figment. Figment at least actually used to have a lot of charm before Michael Eisner ruined him in the 2000s. Dirk Mann, on the other hand, never had any charm or likability to begin with.

So annoying that he makes the Hunchback gargoyles look like Timon and Pumbaa!

A much more annoying blonde than Cinderella and Elsa. And far uglier, too.

Exactly why does Finding Dory even exist?

Go away, Ellen! No one likes you anymore.

Just saying, why does she need a prince? You can be happy without a guy. Oh, and maybe try to stand up for yourself for once? I mean, come on! She is always acting like the victim and never even tries to stand up for herself.
I know in the live-action version her mom always said, "Have courage and be kind," but she doesn't have any courage if she just lets them bully her all the time. And you aren't unkind just because you stand up for yourself.
Candace Flynn (Phineas and Ferb)
