Amazing bands great tunes

134 Christopher Cross

Simply brilliant music. His high, clear and pitch-perfect voice seems to sugarcoat his incredible songs-- such as Arthur's Theme, Sailing, and Ride Like the Wind. Plus, many other great songs that didn't get enough recognition!

His song "Sailing" was awarded best song of the year in 1980. He doesn't receive enough kudos for his masterpieces.

Sailing has to be one of the most beautiful etherial songs ever for any decade. It "takes me back" in an instant. Incredible production. Easily one of my top ten tracks of all time.
Wasn't quite in the 80s on first release.

135 Devo Devo

Devo was the last of the punk generation, yet completely original with concepts that will satisfy a nerd and with an upbeat rhythm to move everyone else.

Maybe a bit odd, but that's what makes this band fun. Weird rhythms, fun riffs, and a lot of synth sound made this band unique but cool.

136 Survivor Survivor Survivor is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1978 by Jim Peterik. The band achieved its greatest success in the 1980s, garnering many charting singles, especially in the United States.

Eye of the tiger album? Play it today, and see how it still holds up. Dave Bickler (Budweiser real men of genius ads singer) and Jimi Jamison (Casey Kasem said he IS the voice of the 80's) as singers? Frankie Sullivan guitar riffs/solos/songwriting. Jim Peterik keyboard/piano/songwriting. Play Surivor Silver Girl and tell me they were not underrated.
