This is a musical masterpiece. Rob Halford may have done if the best lyrics in any song. Nobody should forget the classics like Iron Maiden Black Sabbath Metallica Megadeth and so on
This song deserves to be in first place I had never heard a better 1st solo in my life.
The of fastest and heaviest song judas priest song
Best Judas Priest Songs
2. Breaking the Law
3. Beyond the Realms of Death
4. Victim of Changes
5. Electric Eye - batman23
Two awesome solos supporting strong lyrics makes it a masterpiece.
I personally find this track to be the band's Masterpiece. So much of Priest's work is overlooked by the fans, in favour of their more well known, more "metal" tracks. But this is Classic, and so very distinctly; Priest.
I was never into Metal for the Headbanging. I was in it for the great writing, and lucrative sound. The sound envelops you, and delves into your being. A trait born from the history of Psychedelic/Blue Rock; a Precursor to Heavy Metal.
This song is first followed by Victim of Changes, Then Painkiller, Hellion Electric Eye and then You've Got Another Thing Comin'.
The real template for a metal ballad. No this? Then no Fade To Black, no In My Darkest Hour, no Children Of The Damned, no nothing.V 29 Comments
MASSIVE Judas fan and this is by far the best song to rock out to with friends as well as a strong vocal performance from Halford supported by a great rift combo of KK and Glenn
This is one those short-metal-songs that get's the job done. Pure guitar & vocals sync. It should be 2nd.
You people have obviously not heard any other Judas Priest songs. With choices like Saints In Hell, Victim Of Changes, and Screaming For Vengeance to name a few, you vote for Breakin The Law? DANCE TO THE TUNE? I'm gonna be sick!
My Favorites (Worst To Best)
10. Jawbreaker (Defenders Of The Faith - 1983)
9. Red, White, And Blue (British Steel - 1980)

6. Johnny B. Goode (Ram It Down - 1988)
5. Breaking The Law (British Steel - 1980)
4. You've Got Another Thing Comin' (Screaming For Vengeance - 1982)
3. Painkiller (Painkiller - 1990)
2. Turbo Lover (Turbo - 1987)
1. The Sentinel (Defenders Of The Faith - 1983)
The live version is better than the version on Sad Wings Of Destiny (also my fav JP album), but even that one is better than all their others. My List:
1. Victim Of Changes (Sad Wings Of Destiny)
2. Beyond The Realms Of Death (Stained Class)
3. Electric Eye (Screaming For Vengeance)
4. Painkiller (Painkiller)
5. You've Got Another Thing Comin' (Screaming For Vengeance)
6. Revolution (Angel Of Retribution)
7. Dreamer Deceiver (Sad Wings Of Destiny)
8. Breaking The Law (British Steel)
9. The Ripper (Sad Wings Of Destiny)
10. Screaming For Vengeance (Screaming For Vengeance)
Great drums, guitar rythmn, vocals, and length. One of Judas Priest finest works.
Absolutely LOVE this song (although PainKiller is my ultimate #1), great intro and lyrics by Halford make this song incredible, along with the drumming. My Top 5:
2. Electric Eye
3. Victim of Changes
4. You've Got Another Thing Comin
5. Living After Midnight
Great song. First ever heavy metal song! My 10 (I feel like listing 30):
10. Electric Eye
7. Riding on the Wind
6.Heading out to the Highway
5.Diamonds and Rust
4.Breaking the Law
2.Victim of Changes
This song gives the listener a huge understanding of the metal in the song just the best metal song of priest and rob's voice unbelievable.
The Hellion Intro is just gives you those heavy metal vibes that shows you what Judas Priest is all about. After The Hellion, This kick-ass electric sound comes in and and you get the sudden urge to headbang! It defines Heavy Metal.
This song is the quintessential JP song. They play it at every concert, usually the first song along with the Hellion. Pure genius!
Awesome!V 22 Comments
All songs in the list are great, this is the first judas priest song that I heard, in the Grand Theft Auto vice city radio station and I love it
The whole Screaming for Vengeance album is great, but this one really stands out! It is Priest's best, most enduring metal anthem. If you disagree... You've got another think comin'!
I love this song but it's only second to 'Beyond the Realms of Death'. But 'You've Got Another Thing Comin' still needs to be in the top 5! It has a more mainstream sound but loses none of the grit and toughness associated with Priest and metal in general. Riff has gotta be the best specific part of the song for me, quickly chugging the song forward, but is also super catchy... EXCEPT for the bridge: "In this world we're livin' in we have our share of sorrow," Amazing vocals by Halford, he puts so much emotion in those two lines and at such a high pitch. Makes me sing along every time!
1. Turbo Lover
3. You've Got Another Thing Comin'
4. Breaking The Law
There's only 4 because I've only just discovered Judas Priest. I like them a lot already. I'm already kind of tired of hearing breaking the law is their best song. I'm confident I will never find one I like better than turbo lover. I'm probably going to get mugged for this, but I prefer Judas Priest to Iron Maiden.
I really don't think my father knew what to say when he found his daughter in her little floral dress aged 10 and rocking out to this... Definitely proud.
Simply amazing, has every aspect of a godly metal song and always gives me goosebumps
rob really rips it up on this song
This is my favorite Priest song.V 30 Comments
The album and song that my friend played for me that got me into Priest in 83. Still my favorite Priest album overall.
A heavy and speedy song. Excellent playing all round. - IronSabbathPriest
No one does this? Really? This song, the intro is the equivelent to painkiller!
UNBELIEVABLE! Number 17? Priest has been my favorite band for 30+ years. Its very hard to pick one song as their best, but this is UNBELIEVABLE! This song defines Rob Halford and Judas Priest. Leaves no doubt that Rob is a god and the best frontman ever. Makes me wonder if you people know Priest at all.
Come on! 15?! Get your stuff right people! Sure, painkiller, breaking the law, the sentinel, and all those are great too, don't get me wrong, but this is the first Judas Priest song that when I heard the first time, I was truly blown away by the guitars, the vocals, and everything. This song is exciting, has wonderful instrumental skills, and is undoubtedly one of the Judas Priest's very best songs! Vote up people!
First song on defenders of the faith if this song didn't exist I wouldn't has the best riffs and chorus There is a way that when I listen to this son it takes over me Oh and it has the best music video Nothing in the world could make this song better than it already is. Thank You - macrox16
Great song, deserves better than #15, Fast and Furious! My favorite from Defenders.
Heavy heavy song! Must be mutch higher in this list.V 2 Comments
I love this song. It's a perfect song to listen to if you're out in the woods partying with buddies at 120 at night. I like this song so much, I consider it my theme song, since I like to stay up late at night anyway. Off the record I think it's an awesome song for powerful drug dealer's, like tony montana (yes I know, he's fictional) I think it's a good song for any human spirit.
Great rhythm, great guitars and super vocals - a famous masterpiece!
Live version in Seminole arena... Just amazing. I love Scott Travis he is a very fast drummer.
Pure Rock and Roll!V 1 Comment
73? Are you having a laugh?
Smooth beginning with a nice solo wich then goes to a melody wich is easily recognizable. Not to mention Halfords great singing
kick ass motorcycle song hell bent hell bent for leather!
" THERE'S MANY WHO TRIED TO PROVE THAT THEY'RE FASTER BUT THEY DIDN'T LAST AND THEY DIED AS THEY TRIED! "
One of the greatest solo ever.
Just a great tune,has everything,attitude melody etc.V 2 Comments
I think this is not a song because judas priest legendary band. nightcrawler music, guitar, vocalist is so horror most of the horror film I watched but I cannot scared but nightcrawler I scared. I don, t know what kind of band they are make. One last thing judas priest is the metal of god. Judas priest is the essential for a music. judas priest is different from another band. iron maiden also making a horror band but it cannot be make like a judas priest because judas priest druming, guitar very original and different from other. In earth no body can touch to judas priest in band. You are metal god. I think born to known the world what is music. In whatever topic you make it is legendry. I think you are the end of a music and you are god of metal
I feel like you meant to say a lot of positive stuff, but I can't exactly tell, so I'm not going to vote your comment up or down - dubsinthetubs
And now what?
This is an excellent song, feel the electric guitar grinding the hell into pieces, awesome vocals corresponding the drums... and of course I won't say a thing just try qnd you see.
I love this song and album. It's the best metal album of that year hands down
That beginning is the sickest thing I've heard in my lifeV 6 Comments
This is a metal masterpiece... A touch of god JUDAS PRIEST are the best! This song is so underrated it must be at least in the top 3.. The guitar solos are incredible..
TOP 3 FOR SURE... METAL MASTERCLASS... Great composition by Judas Priest
One of the best song they have
Best song they have. Very energetic and full of power. Better than breaking the law for sure, that's such a dumb (musically) song, I think this is a bit more complex, as the hole painkiller album is, so I preffer it much more.
My top 10 list:
3)Victim of Changes
4)Breaking the Law
5)A Touch of Evil
6)Screaming for Vengeance
8)Living After Midnight
10)You've got another thing coming
Love the mood of this song. Deep combination of machinery & atmospheric sounds. You literally dive into this song.
So it ended up playing in my car once, and it was really catchy, and now it's one of favorite songs. This makes me think, perhaps I will end up becoming a metal fan, cause I like this song a lot. I know this is quite an assumption though. - Therandom
Why is this song 12th?! It's their 2nd best song.
My top 10:
2) Turbo Lover
3) Electric Eye
4) Breaking The Law
5) Beyond The Realms Of Death
6) Victim Of Changes
8) You've Got Another Thing Comin'
9) The Sentinel
10) A Touch Of Evil
Everything's great, the pacing, the instruments, the vocals, the mix between the two, the progression, and the enjoyment. While different from most Judas Priest songs, it is still a timeless classic to remember.V 8 Comments
Cause its on ram it down not many have heard this, but they played it on their epitaph tour and was one of the highlights of the night, anyone who calls themselves a priest fan has to know this song.
This song screams epicness. Literally, Halford's voice is so intense. Whenever I listen to this song, I feel I can do anything. For me personally this is number 1. It should at least be in the top 5 though
What the hell is this song doing so low down? This has to be one of the best song of JP. Such awesomeness, such an epic song. Hell yes m/
I voted for this song while it's very underrated. Actually my top 15 is:
1. Victim of changes
2. Beyond the realms of death
3. Screaming for vengeance
4. Blood red skies
5. Electric eye
8. Riding on the wind
9. Night crawler
10. Ram it down
11. The ripper
13. Freewheel burning
14. Hell bent for leather
15. Judas Rising
Not just a great song by a great metal band, but a brilliant song on every level. The vocal qualities Halford exhibits in this song, the sheer range, and the transition between a clear, beautiful voice and an artful sneer make this song a classic.
While Painkiller has the awesomest guitar solo ever recorded, this song has the best singing in any metal song ever. Rob Halford is incredible.
What a haunting song, this one is similar to Beyond The Realms of Death. Same atmosphere, similar tone, similar and both underrated guitar solo by Glenn Tipton.
One of the greatest vocal lines in the history of rock (not only metal). Wonderful, evolving guitar solo. The atmosphere I characteristic to the 70s but with some anticipation of the epicness of NWOBHM of the 80s.V 9 Comments
What's wrong with this list, putting Judas Rising here?! This song is the epitome of heavy metal. Brash, insanely fast, divine riffs... Everything about this song is pure genius. This is by far one of their best songs. It's just so damn heavy! Please, allow your ears the privilege of listening to this, and THEN vote. Cause this is DEFINITELY better than almost the entire top 10.
Oh my, Judas Rising rotting here?! The ultimate Judas Priest song with the most epic riffs, heaviest beats, most energetic vocals and the BEST chorus of all time is placed 16th?! This is the biggest insult to Judas Priest and their insane album 'Angel Of Retribution' that's one of the most legendary metal albums ever.
And Angel is 13th?! Another shocker! The Metal Gods are not pleased, enough said.
Come on, listen to this masterpiece of music. Just Epic! Only Painkiller is maybe better.
My favorite judas song - SoldierOfFortuneV 5 Comments
Second to only Painkiller. The best opening to any song I have ever heard. The riff paralyses me. Incredible heavy metal masterpiece from the fathers of twin guitar metal. It doesn't get any better than this so mystified why it is not in the Top 10?
Craziest solo; truly utilizes the full potential of the unstoppable duo; Glenn Tipton and KK Downing. They are THE best guitarists out there. Who says they're retired? Their titles certainly aren't.
Judas Priest came back to the metal scene swinging with this song. All the others needed to know that Judas Priest always will be the kings of metal. Amazing song, the guitar riff I too is immaculate, Halford's vocals are terrifying and the drums are incredible.
This and Painkiller are the epitome of pure, raw and unstoppable Priest.V 11 Comments
What!? No 23? No 1
Seriously? This is not top 5 seriously?
This is a great song!
What? Why is this song at 24th? You guys are unbelievable. Definitely one of my top three, along with painkiller and beyond the realms of deathV 2 Comments
Awesome power riffs by Glen Tipton and Rob Halford 's scorching vocals make this one of the all-time Priest classics!
One of their best songs with an amazing chorus it deserves it's place on the list.
Well finally its in the top 20

If Black Sabbath's Symptom of the Universe wasn't the seed of thrash metal, than this certainly was. - joshapkin
Awesome song with great vocals, guitars, and killer, lightning fast drums. This song was also a huge influence on thrash metal, along with songs like overkill and symptom of the universe.
Such a masterpiece from Stained Class! Can't believe it's 20th. Deserves to be top 10 if not top 5 for sure
Speed metal at its bestV 5 Comments
Just a classic Priest Beast tune can't help but think diamonds and rust though when speaking about the sinner. The Sinner is another beauty when played live just checkout unleashed in the east to hear what I'm talking about. - writeitdown1
Way way too far down on this list
Very underrated, all Judas Priest fans recognize this one!
This is actually my favourite priest song. I love The diamonds and rust cover as well and would rank it in my top 10.
Super Underrated, but it's a cover so maybe that's why it's so low - SoldierOfFortune
This is the ultimate priest songV 2 Comments
What Judas Priest was named for. Just awesome.
This is Rob Halford's Auto Biography - SoldierOfFortune
Underrated. Second best Judas Priest song, only behind Freewheel Burning.
This way too low.V 2 Comments
this song is so brutal, especially when Rob sings'Here comes the MEtal Meltdown" awesommeuh
believe, you gonna like the intro; any great metaller would like it!
this song was the first I heard from them, and all the song is great! - rock2metal
This song annihilates! Totally badass, gets me pumped up every time I hear it!
This song is amazing. Love the speed and everything. - Metal_TreasureV 4 Comments
Such an underrated song. Halford's amazing performance, never more playful, such great contrasting. And KK's and Tipton's riffs are again simple yet incredibly catchy. Just give it a listen, people. Won't regret it
The origin of true heavy metal. Priest at its finest.
Heavier than anything to come for years. Truly awesome, especially with the impact of 17-year-old session drummer Simon Phillips.
Its really good, I just think the slayer version is betterV 4 Comments
Absolute top 10! Top 5 even for me!
Should be top ten! Love everything Judas, but this list has me baffled. If your knowledge of J.P. is strictly radio play (and I believe that's most of the people voting here) you are ruining this top ten for us true PRIEST fans!
Top 10 definitely.
Just awesome... I agree whit the other comments, it should definitely be on the top 10 of the list.. You actually can feel the song inside you..
Awesome song! It draws you in and makes you believe there is your own angel saviour up there in the heavens!
One of my all time favourite son
Why isn't this on top of the list! This is JP's best ever! You get a shiver down your spine when you hear this!
Such a great song. Fantastic album!V 14 Comments
How is this at 50?!?!? The beginning is so epic. Robs voice is so great on this track. The keyboards always give a chill down my spine. This song is comparable to Dio's Holy diver, same style and same amount of awesome!
This needs to be higher. People need to start actually listening to JP songs and not just recycling "Breaking the Law" and "You've Got Another Thing Coming"... Songs that get so much air-time because of how poppy they are. This song makes you uncomfortable, and it's fantastic
They aren't poppy, they are just overplayed. They have good riffs but listening to them over and over again makes it a bit annoying, like Iron Man - SoldierOfFortune
Dude you have to be kidding. This song is amazing and it's no even on the list?
What in the world?!?! This is an absolutely top 10 with no doubt!
It's way better then "Breaking the Law" and "Painkiller" - hypeV 1 Comment
It has the best solo and sounds like Glen Tipton played it the way he wanted to it has the best verse chorus bridge Pre-Chorus and everything else this is the best song ever - macrox16
Deserves to be rated much higher and is probably in my top ten Priest songs. Amazing chorus and Rob is spectacular.
KK's best solo ever. Epic song FOR THE WIN!
Definitely underrated it should be top 40 on the list I like the intro
Absolutely top ten. No need to argue
BEST PRIEST SOLO EVER. that's all
Pure Priest, at close to the top of their game. Worth a re-listen if you haven't heard in awhile.
Deserves to be in the top 5. It gives you the feeling of power, real true song, purest form of art.
This song is kind of short, so I can see it being lower, but no worse than 15 or 16. It's one of my favorites, talk about head-banging, and the solo matching Halford's voice makes the guitar cry
It gives you energy
It has everything you want from a good song (vocals, guitars, drums, lyric...) - ShahryRKnoTV 4 Comments
Damn, why so far down? This is one of my favorite songs by them! It breaks my heart to see if so far down! This and Hellrider are two of my favorites because they are so fast paced!
What? This song should to be in the first place!
This deserves a better place at this list. Makes me cry :'(
The best song in Paikiller!V 2 Comments
This should at least be in the top 15.
The operatic vocals and the great instrumental parts make this song one of the best from Judas Priest.
An extremely underrated song from an extremely underrated album
Whenever I play a song from this album, everyone loves it! (no matter what they listen to)! - ShahryRKnoT
Best their song!
Are you guys kidding? This is one of my favorite songs of all time, not just in Judas Priest discography. The vocals are amazing and the solo is hands down one of their best, one of the most epic songs of all time.
SHOCKED to see this song so low! It's such a powerful song; second only to Beyond the Realms of Death in my list of Priest songs.
This song gave me chills down my s🅱️Ine the first time I listened to it.
How is this song so low on the list? The album wasnt all that great, but this song is so amazing! The guitar is absolutely fantastic! The vocals are so great, and that solo is just so, I can't even describe it, oh my god! Drum machine or not, this song has to be one of my favorite priest songs of all time
Get this song to number 1! Greatest guitar duel in metal history!
Defniantly underrated song one of my favorite songs by judas priest and has a amazing solo plus great lyrics
The prequel to Painkiller... one of their best songs ever. easily top ten
though painkiller easily deserves number 1
Oh come on, this song should be up there! Not one of the most popular ones, but really, its one of the best in my opinion.
Needs to be much higher than 75.. Definitely in the top 15.
Holy crap is this song underrated! - DoctorDigiorno
Halfords banshee scream going into Faulkners shredding madness alone propells this song into my top 15
Most underrated song of all time. Period.
One of the greatest songs of the Priest
Amen to all previous posts on this song! A Top 3!

This song is very good - it's underrated just because Tim Ripper sang it. And Tim is overHated. He's a very good singer. - Metal_Treasure
Absolute epic masterpiece. With this song, Tim Owens has made his contribution to the band worthwhile.
It's a masterpiece! It should be at least in the top 30.
