The start of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour
Taylor Swift is performing her first tour in over 5 years, and it's her biggest ever. It set records for the most attendance at a U.S. tour by a female artist and became the highest-grossing tour of all time. It's also the first tour by an artist or band to involve multiple nights per location.

The April hybrid solar eclipse
On April 20th, a solar eclipse occurred. It wasn't just any solar eclipse, but a rare type known as a hybrid solar eclipse. This means that within the path, some places saw a total eclipse while others saw an annular eclipse. The greatest area saw approximately 76 seconds of totality, while other places saw around 4 seconds of annularity.

The release of the movie Barbie
It was obviously long-awaited, since many girls were looking forward to Barbie getting a live-action theatrical release. That wish came true. It grossed more than $1.446 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of 2023 and the highest-grossing film directed by a woman.

The October annular solar eclipse
On October 14th, an annular solar eclipse occurred. It's annular because the Moon wasn't close enough to block out the Sun completely, so a "ring of fire" (the Sun) surrounded the Moon's image. It was a great warm-up for the epic total solar eclipse of April 8th, 2024, which the U.S. is also getting.

The release of the movie Wonka
After Barbie, Wonka got a prequel in 2023, and it turned out to be a good film. It was better than we thought, especially now that we understand it was meant to be a prequel (before the events of the original story).

The release of Carly Rae Jepsen's album The Loveliest Time
My favorite album from 2023. This album and The Loneliest Time revived good music after it was "killed" in 2021 or 2022, before being "killed" again in 2024 by songs such as Carnival, Europapa, Please Please Please, and Espresso.
2023 was an awful year for music, but it was the last year with good albums and songs that reached the charts. The music in 2024 is so bad it makes 2021, 2022, and 2023 look great in comparison.
Music began to go downhill in 2020/2021 when FNF ruined everything. It officially "died" in 2022, in my opinion, when Crazy Frog made an infamous comeback with his new song "It's Tricky."
I really miss pre-2021 music, but The Loveliest Time is a great album and the best 2023 album I've listened to. The songs are very nostalgic.
Let me rate/review all the songs on the album:
Anything To Be With You: 9/10
Kamikaze: 11/10
After Last Night: 7/10
Aeroplanes: 10/10
Shy Boy: 10/10
Kollage: 10/10

Psychedelic Switch: 10/10
So Right: 9/10

Put It To Rest: 6/10
Stadium Love: 8/10
Total score for this album: 10/10.
My favorite album from 2023!
