Top 10 Most Distracting Websites and Apps

There are many apps and websites out there that catch out attention. We download and look up these places for our own reasons, for fun, as a joke, or because we're bored. But the question is what is the first thing you do when you pick up your phone or log into the computer. There are apps that aren't even relevant that we open just to check, or keep our streak in a game. This list will be looking at the most addicting apps that we can't help but open no matter the situation.
The Top Ten
1 Instagram

With so many things to post and other people's posts to look at, when you have nothing to do hours will pass while your on Instagram. Whether you're watching a Live thing or posting things of your own. Not to mention the hard to fight temptation to see how many likes your posts got or check to see if anyone commented on it. Instagram is the epitome of distraction

Social media has caused us to constantly update our statuses to see how many likes we can get on a post. The instinct we have when we pull out our phone is to check the comments or check out how many likes we have. Not knowing we're distracted ourselves from the irl situations

2 TheTopTens TheTopTens is a countdown-based website founded and created in 2005 which consists of user-generated content. Visitors can vote, comment, like other comments, and view user-created remixes. Registered users can use the additional features of the site - such as creating lists, remixes, posts, messaging, and following users to have content in the personal feed. It has over 200,000 lists as of 2022.

This is my most distracting website in my life, almost every time I open my computer or phone I go to thetoptens just to see the new lists and see what I agree with, check my messages to see if I have votes on my own lists, and fight the daily urge to post a new one and just comment on lists all day.

I put this on here cause even I can't fight the impulse of seeing how many votes my lists get or likes on my comments

This site is way too distracting than it deserves to be

3 Netflix

Starting a show on Netflix causes a dangerous epidemic known as "Binge-Watching" meaning you will watch that show and nothing else until you find out the series conclusion. Even if a season ends with a cliffhanger you will endlessly try to look up when the next season will be out...Indeed it's hard...until you find a movie with an ending

Binge watching a whole series over the holidays is cool. SO relaxing, the outdoors is outta my mind. Easy and efficient! Could do it all day and binge watch a whole series in one day.

Binge watching any show on netflix is sure to cause a couple of hours to go by without you knowing it

My membership been out for weeks now

YouTube is very distracting. Not a single day goes by without me watching a bunch of videos.

Not that bad, but distracts you a lot, especially if your a YouTuber and is checking how many subscribers he has.

5 Reddit Reddit (stylized in all lowercase as reddit) is an American social news aggregation, content rating, and discussion website. Registered users (commonly referred to as "Redditors") submit content to the site such as links, text posts, images, and videos, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "communities" or "subreddits". Submissions with more upvotes appear towards the top of their subreddit and, if they receive enough upvotes, ultimately on the site's front page. Reddit administrators moderate the communities. Moderation is also conducted by community-specific moderators, who are not Reddit employees.

Reddit isn't as underrated as it gives off. Whether it's the memes, subreddits, or fun askreddits. Reddit causes time to slip away from use quickly, especially w when we're looking through the memes

I'm a meme girl so looking up memes on Reddit is my favorite passtime/distraction
