The Key Trilogy: Follow the Sign

IronSabbathPriest Michael opened his eyes. Where was he now? It seemed to be some sort of island. As he could hear the sound of waves and water. However, he could only see clouds and mist, above and in front of him. He was standing on a rocky ground.

He began to walk forward, and he noticed a figure sitting on a rock. He approached it. It was... a skeleton.

The skeleton looked up at him, it had mad, pointed eyes staring intently at him.

Michael: Where am I?

Skeleton: (hissing) Did you make your choice?

It's hiss was not unlike the one Michael had heard in the house, but it was different. Michael didn't know what to say, so he nodded.

The skeleton cocked it's head to it's side. And smiled evily at him. It then pointed East, towards the sound of the waves. Now Michael could hear the sound of seaguls.

Skeleton: Follow the sign, and make yourself ready for the lords of the dark. You are now, the keeper of the seven keys!

Michael suddenly felt his pocked become heavier, as if something had been dropped in it...

Skeleton: Follow the sign! Avenge me, and all the other's! But if you fail... you'll become one of us.

Michael hesitates no longer. He moves towards where the skeleton is pointing. And he is lifted into the air, and falls into unconsciousness.
