Classic Rock or Newer Rock?

MontyPython Similar to EvilAngel's Rock/Heavy Metal vs. Pop, I'm doing a classic rock vs. newer rock!

Examples of Classic Rock
---
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Pink Floyd
AC/DC
Guns N' Roses
The Rolling Stones
The Kinks
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Queen
The Who

Examples of Newer Rock
---
Nirvana
Linkin Park
Breaking Benjamin
Black Veil Brides
Radiohead
Oasis
My Chemical Romance
Muse
Smashing Pumpkins
30 Seconds to Mars
Avenged Sevenfold
Tool
---

Vote for any genre you like more! Personally, my vote goes to classic, even though I'm a huge Nirvana fan. Anyways, I respect all opinions, and so should you!

Have fun!

Classic. I looove all the classic rock you listed, but I only like Oasis and Nirvana out of the modern rock (also Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam, you forgot to add those.) - visitor

Oh yeah! I forgot those! I actually love the Foo Fighters a lot! - MontyPython

I like both!...is that an option?
If not then...? - Danguy10

I go with classic though I like Nirvana and Breaking Benjamin. Also add Skillet to newer rock and Bon Jovi to classic rock and maybe Journey too. Alice in Chains should be there somewhere too. - bobbythebrony

I love a lot of new music, but not pure rock, for the most part. Even classic rock can be boring (think Foreigner). But every Foreigner, there's a Fleetwood Mac.
Gotta be classic. - PetSounds

I'm indifferent. I think great music was made then and is being made now (rock category of course) but I don't really have a preference. - Songsta41

Classic Rock, easily.

Queen
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Guns N' Roses
AC/DC
KISS

I do like some newer rock, though.

Alice in Chains
Nirvana (overrated, but good)
Tool
Radiohead
Avenged Sevenfold
Skillet
The Classic Crime - Alpha101

Classic, hands down. - BeatlesFan1964

Classic,no doubt.modern rock bands aren't half successful as classic rock bands. - zxm
