Top 10 Best Magic: The Gathering CardsThe best cards in the game. Maybe there's a lot of combos with them, maybe they're really overpowered all by themselves. What will happen? We'll see.
The Black Lotus is definitely one of the best I will also mention that The Black Lotus from one website was selling the Alpha Variant for about $40,000 which I would estimate to be about the worth of a car.
4 mana on turn one? Yes please. And with all the other combos available you can cast huge creatures on turn one. No wonder the card is worth thousands of dollars and almost banned in everything.
Yep and the most expensive card in ALPHA it's worth up to 10,000 dollars!
Good card 4 mana turn 1
Three cards for only 1 mana is almost too good to be true.
Having an extra turn with some powerhouses can be extreme. Instead of dealing 10 damage, you can deal 20!
Put this with any tap to untap target artifact and unlimited turns for you. (Easy to find, especially for blue)
Extra turn for 2 mana? Yes please!
I know this card and I can tell you that there is a good reason why this card is Banned in Commander.
This card is a 15/15 that reads "This spell can't be countered. When you cast this spell, take an extra turn after this one. Flying, protection from colored spells, annihilator 6 When Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles their graveyard into their library."
Good news is that it's good but What I can compare this creature to is a boss card that can only be taken out in certain ways. Bad news is that this card can only be taken out by removing it from the game and the card has to be Colorless. For example one card I know would take this card out is Karn Liberated since He's a colorless Planeswalker.
This is the big dog among the legendary Eldrazi. Extra turn when you cast it and protection from colored spells and annihilator 6? Not good enough, better also make it a 15/15 flyer that can't be countered. I mean, this is almost a spell that says "you win"
Absolutely horrible. You'll never cast Emrakul unless you have at least two Black Lotuses, so this is possibly the most overrated card I've ever seen.
Very good card overall. You can use Quicksilver Amulet to get it out early and win.
Wow. When I first saw this card I squeeled with joy. Everything is an artifact? That is insane. You can suddenly double loyalty on planeswalkers without using abilities. Annul becomes a counter for 1 mana. And mana color doesn't even matter! How great is that? The combo possibilities are just about endless with it, this card is truely overpowered as it gets.
This is the best card
This card is basically a Blightsteel Colossus on turn 1,
and from then on the rest of the game is almost fixed.
It is a good card
The only thing that can kill it is an exile-board-wipe like Settle the Wreckage. Time to start tutoring!
"Protection from everything" basically means it can't die. Like the other Progenitus can, it's like God.
True that. Basically it's saying "Put this in a sliver deck and win"
This card deserves a spot high on this list simply for this text "protection from everything"
In EDH, this is one of the kings among commanders. It's so anti control it is control.
This is the best card no doubt. Discard the entire library-that means their hand becomes their library. No library, you lose. The only counter to this is Vraska the Unseen, and that needs to be fast.
Ok. 4 abilities. I'm in. Get rid of the opponents good stuff. Card filtering at a three card+hand level. Bouncing. 7 turn clock after ultimate... easily one of the best cards.
Mind Sculpt :P
Don't really like it because your opponent could just kill it with cards like Gurruk or Emrakul, The Aeons Torn or Progenitus.
Best Mill card ever!
Islands are the most awesome basic land unless you're up against a creature with islandwalk.
Why is island higher than volcanic island or tropical island?
Come on, its mana. It's the best...
Best magic card by far
The king of all decks token. This is easily one of the best EDH commanders you can run. It gets out staggeringly fast and has staggeringly good consistency. Not to mention it has a CMC of 1 for 2 colors. This card is on another level altogether.
Guaranteed win, especially when paired with Darksteel Forge, which makes it indestructible. Fairly powerful 4/4 creature by itself, but prohibitively expensive mana cost (7). If you can get it on the battlefield, have enchantments ready to protect it until you bring out Darksteel Forge.
This card is a staple in a 5 color EDH deck. This is because it is the most consistent commander you can have. Not only that, but it has an insanely good ability which can be used to kill things, protect it, or all sorts of other things. All in all, it's a really excellent card
1 blue mana to draw three and put two back. This is excellent for when you don't need exactly what's in your hand, but want to draw a lot of cards. It is really powerful just by itself. Especially for a common.
The staple of blue decks. Played everywhere while legal.
4 for a 3/1 in the list of top cards? That's not why it's here. This card is by far the most effective combo engine I can imagine. As a creature, it's terrible sure. But if you're looking to really do something with that mycosynth lattice, you can play this guy.
The fact that this card is a later printing and almost as restricted as power nine just proves how amazing and fun it is. I can't wait to meet liliannas next supposedly more powerful demon on ahmonket.
Another one of those great cards that's just really overpowered by itself, let's you cascade whatever you want even if it's something insanely big in CMC
No you can't, but yes I can next main phase. Best use of two blue in MTG.
