Dinmukhamed Kanatuly Kudaibergenov, commonly known as Dimash Kudaibergen (born May 24th, 1994) is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Dimash is best known as a contestant of Chinese talent show "Singer 2017" where he was declared a runner-up. He is also known for possessing a wide vocal range, measuring up to 5 octaves. A brilliant singer with a 5 votive vocal range who is at ease singing opera, ballads, pop, rock and I've even heard him rap. He sings in so many different languages and his interpretations are unsurpassed at the tender age of 23. One of Dimash's greatest gifts is his ability to not just sing a song, but live the song, and in that take the listener with him on his journey not as a witness, but as the main character in the song. It is quite remarkable, and not anything that can be taught, it can be mastered, but not taught... it is an innate depth of compassion, way beyond his years, which he expresses and exposes through song... an uninhibitedness to fully be "seen," a vulnerability and nakedness in his expression that actually renders him invulnerable... this is total communion with Source/God, himself and the audience.
The most beautiful voice I have ever heard. His performances is an emotional spiritual journey. I was mesmerized after hearing him for the first time, singing SOS d'un terrien un destresse, a French song, in the Chinese singing competition, The Singer. What followed were more songs in Languages I did not understand (Chinese - Late Autumn, Russian-Opera 2, Kazakh-unforgettable Day, Chinese/Italian- Confess and Diva Dance) but that did not matter. With Dimash there is no language barrier. I never realized that music can communicate in this manner - with such love, passion vulnerability yet convey such strength and power. His singing literally brings tears to people eyes they are so overwhelmed with emotion and feelings. After watching Dimash, I have no desire to watch other singing competition. Yes, there will be many other good singers but the bar he has raised is so high it will take another lifetime to find a talent such as his. A 5 octave range, a baritone, a tenor, a soprano. A classically trained, elegant, well mannered yet boyish in some ways, handsome young man who seems wise beyond his years (from English translated interview I gathered). Tall (191 cm (6'2)) and handsome he looks like the product of the crossroads of his homeland. I imagine his ancestry consist of Chinese-Mongol, Russian and Kazakh. He definitely has that Euro-Asian look. Many are eagerly anticipating that he will come to US some day. Only concern fans have is that he has been so much in demand in China and touring so much that he has lost a lot of weight and is very skinny at this time. His fans wish him to get much rest and eat lots of food. Dimash is the best voice in the world.
