Top 10 Most Successful Nations
America. You're amazing.
Independent from British Empire, you have easily become a superpower.
And winning various wars, you've become even more you've become a superpower.
I think you've been the most successful as per the ranking.
Well, I wish I could say the US is the freest, most successful, greatest country in the world, but sadly it just isn't the truth any longer. Though up until twenty years ago, it truly used to be. Thriving economy, freedom abounding, everyone just happy to live in a place free of persecution and bondage and what not. Though many still come to the US today for success, I can't say its as free or as successful as it used to be. But hopefully the upcoming generation, my generation, will take a stand and bring the US back to its former state of glory- full of freedom and liberty and justice for all.
In 1776 the American colonist declared independence from the most powerful country at that time, and a decade later, they succeeded and over time they made the powerful nation you see today. The United States is also a unique country, the first successful democratic government in human history. Though it is only my opinion, but I unequivocally believe that the United State of America is the most successful country in the world mostly because the United States lets us have a say in things, even in the Gettysburg address Lincoln said that America is a nation "for the people, by the people."
The US is the most successful country in the world, through it's economy, military, and global position. The United States has strategically placed military bases on about every continent in the world. The US has one of the best economies in the world, and a public system that takes care of everyone. The US is also home to the most prominent respected school in the world. The US is also very diverse, and foreigners often have a goal of coming to the US, wether it is to live a better life, attend one of our prominent universities, or visit.
Norway is truly one of the most successful countries of all time. No wonder their economy is highly developed, the government knows how to properly make use of their wealth. Norway's education and standard of living are one of the best in the world. The fact that their crime rate is one of the lowest in the world means that its citizens are doing well so they won't resort to crime. Norway's prisons are also the most humane in the world; they resemble dorms instead of actual prisons. The healthcare is also one of the best in the world, showing that the government cares for its citizens.
Norway does things right. Americans wonder why their education is such high quality, but it's because they pay their teachers like doctors and encourage progress and improvement among the individual. Norway's government is responsible and forward thinking, and that keeps on top in my opinion.
The worst crisis in Norway in the recent years was a butter crisis... Aka a shortage of butter, while the rest of the western world fell down in a economic mess.
Great economics, great quality of life, everyone values human life in Norway.
England has been around for more than a 1000 years now and have accomplished a lot.
British Empire, which includes some of the most developed nations on earth today such as, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand. The only language people ever seem to want to speak is English from England. Most of the worlds most useful inventions have come from Britain such as the T.V., the phone, the world wide web, the jet engine and the steam train also penicillin. Oh and almost every sport originated from England and our music industry is known world wide.
And England has won the world cup at least once (enough said! )
'Little Britain', though geographically small, managed to become a superpower that would directly influence every corner of the world to the extent never seen before. In order to for it compete globally against countries with larger resources and bigger populations, it created a more efficient and superior economic system (Bank of England, Bill of Rights) and elite military (Royal Navy) that subsequently lead to its Empire becoming the largest ever, beating its French, Spanish and Portuguese rivals. British culture is showcased across the world through its excellence in music, media, sport, art, literature...etc. whilst scientifically it has been a leading nation for centuries- its achievements in ingenuity has resulted in many world-changing inventions like the Television, World Wide Web, Newton's Laws, Telephone, Programmable Computer to name a few. It continues today to overshadow larger countries because of its strong economy and diplomatic skill. In fact, Britain is rated as the ...more
England. Gravity, electric motors, television, the internet, telephones, photographs, trains, jet engines, smallpox vaccination, programmable computers, chocolate, light bulbs, water filtration, selective breeding, sewing machines, polyester, pencils, typewriters, radio waves, colored movies, stereo sound, radar, fiber optics, calculators, 3D video games, DNA profiling, fingerprint scanning, eye recognition, disk breaks, sandwiches, ice cream, magnifying glass, flushing loos, toothbrush, corkscrews, canned food, fire extinguishers, lawn mowers, rubber bands, hoovers, dishwashers, stainless steel, blood circulation, aspirin, color blindness, Parkinson, blood transfusions, hay fever, general anesthetic, modern nursing, thermometers, mosquitoes causing malaria, vitamins, hip replacements, infrared radiation, electrons, protons, neutrons, isotopes, hawking radiation, the periodic table, countless elements, evolution, Venn diagrams, Boolean logic, Uranus, Neptune, the big bang, dinosaurs, ...more
We should say ' Great Britain ' - an incredible history of achievement and innovation which has made it universally influential even today. It isn't perfect but nowhere is. GB has delivered for it's own people mostly over the years and today Brits are as proud as ever of their country and it's place in the world. Proof is in the fact that so many across the world aspire to live there. GB is also one of the biggest donors of international aid both from government and the individual people which proves they care about the rest of the world too.
Even after having been attacked France is able to lead the COP21 (Global climate change summit) in Paris, and that less that one month after attacks.
Cop21 has been the world's greatest diplomatic success.
More than 150 heads of state landed in the French capital for the opening day. Barack Obama hailed the conference as "an act of defiance" in the face of terrorism.
And more than 40,000 delegates were present and representing 195 countries.
No doubt, Cop21 is an historical success and France a great nation.
Contrary to all the surrender jokes, and France's more recent military embarrassments, France is actually one of the most successful nations as far as military and conquest in history. Protected Europe from the islamic caliphate at Tours, Conquered England successfully, the reason America became independent, Colonized much of the world, And Napoleon actually made it to Moscow, something the Germans never managed to accomplish ;) really great as far as military really up until ww2, and even the German's used much of France's old Napoleonic Era strategies in ww2...
Despite a difficult geography position neighboring powerful nations such as Germany, Spain, Italy or England... France has managed to maintain a vast territory within its border (largest country of Europe). It's is also the country with one of the highest military ratio since inception. Out of 20 wars vs England, France won 9 / 6 were a draw / 5 were a defeat...
Just one thing that nobody know France is the 2nd Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the world just close behind the United States of America.
And even French themselves do not know that.
France is much more than we believe in general.
Japan has lost the war against the USA.
However, they did not give up and wished for Japan's independence. And they became independent.
Without their wish, Japan would not be here today.
Japanese culture appeals to many outside of it, which I believe is somewhat due to the aesthetics associated with Japanese "kawaii" culture and media. Not only this, but many of the industries housed there have deep and far reaching roots and influences.
Japan have many business company worldwide... Everybody in this world are using their products... They also have culture likes anime which is well received...
One of the most beautiful cultures on earth. The notion of honour is most important for this nation. They are people of efficiency, patience, and determination.
This country is in my opinion much more successful than the USA because, did the lost 2 World War's and recovered from it in a matter of century's, no, Germany had to go trough hat. Did the USA manage to build up the most effective Military by 1850, no, the german state called Prussia had it. Did the USA had been divided into over 400 states, no, it was Germany. Did the USA had invented the Automobil, no, Germany invented it. Did the USA manage to build up an economy wich is on an extremely small amount of land but still the 6th strongest GDP in the world, no, Germany did that.
I just hate it when the USA steals other countries invention.
The amount of resources that a country has does not determine how successful a nation is. What does determine it is how well do they utilize the resources they have to the fullest, and Germany is hands down the best at that. Also, a successful country is self-sufficient and does not depend on other countries. (Japan is a great example their abundant exports and influential culture throughout the rest of the world. ) Back in WW2 Germany had to synthesize their own oil since their location in Europe is not necessarily the best in terms of available resources compared to America, and yet they were still the most superior country in the world without a doubt, and were heavily efficient. Their specialty in mechanical engineering have allowed them to craft amazing machines, and they have invented a lot of creative ideas and patents such as the first automobile, the first four-stroke internal combustion, diesel, and Wankel rotary engines. Not to mention, they were the first to make huge ...more
Europe could most definitely survive without Germany. Yes the country is powerful in terms of European countries, but it's relatively small fish compared to the total system, particularly when considering the UK and France which are actually members of the top 5 nations on Earth, or even Italy which is just as if not more powerful economically compared to Germany. I will stipulate though that Germany has definitely improved in recent years and has frequently and justly participated in international affairs for the better of man-kind while also abiding by Humanitarian measurements.
I am an Afghan and I truly respect Germans. Besides all the technology advancements they provided to the world, they very intellectual people. Germany was the birthplace of many great scholars, artists, musicians and athletes. The are efficient and have a sort of determination like no other. They are truly to be admired by every other nation on earth for exemplary leadership. Bravo Germany.
India has a pretty fast growing economy, as you may have guessed by now. They really are climbing up the ladder. The problem they have to deal with is how they distribute the money. Like any other capitalist country, the poor are really poor and the rich are really rich, but in India the poor are REALLY poor and the rich are REALLY rich. Also, they really need to spend more money on infrastructure. A road is tarmac, not slightly less dirt than everywhere else.
India is blessed with a lot of natural resources and had a great history
Game like chess was originated here. Yoga -the way to stay healthy was originated here.
A lot people may say bad or good but India has maintained her status.
people living in India do have a great heart and goons are the people whom you will everywhere. With a great history and intelligent people,India also embraces every religion. India was the first nation who discovered water on moon. and there are lots of Indian discoveries that helped in further.
indeed India is a great nation.
India is a fast growing economy in this present world. Even in this present economic crisis india is growing. Even india is a developing country, it can make investments in American company. Just after China, india is considered as fast growing countries of world. In the coming 20 years india will no longer continue as a developing country, but a developed,
India should be number one. It struggled in independence from the brutal british. Even with being ruled over cruel England, India managed to have independence. Ever wanted to know why India has no king or queen? Queen victoria killed them and there children. Stole the precious gem the khoineer and yet has not returned it.
Switzerland is one of the worlds most prosperous and wealthy country. everybody there is practically rich and they all have individual freedoms. In addition its one of the most hard working countries, unlike other European countries whose people rely off the government for help... *cough* Norway *cough* Finland *cough* Sweden*
How is Swiss not number 1? It's heaven in Earth with delicious chocolate and less pollution.
Most prosperous, least with wars. Can't think of any others in that category.
Swiss is...just heaven on earth
In my opinion, if you have not been to Singapore, you will be missing out on one of the world's better places to be.
One of the most convenient island city/country to live in, utterly resplendent.
Just a tiny island, and starting with next to nothing, to being a fully developed nation within a handful of decades.
An efficient and great government system that shows fairness to its population, regardless of locals or foreigners. Something many countries have not achieved on a full nationwide scale.
If this isn't proof enough, than nothing else matters.
Not only is this one of the biggest economic giants, but it's one of the safest countries in the world. You hardly ever see police around, not because they're lazy, or can't hire people, but because there's such a small need for them. If that doesn't point out a vastly superior economic country, than even the USA, I don't know what does.
The government has successfully implemented policies that improved the economy (a switch from entrep't trade to self-reliance in sectors like manufacturing to services), stabilised the society (mending cracks that were formed by ethnic conflicts before independence) and managed the environment (good land planning and sustainability, and promoting greening of the city, earning Singapore the title "Garden City"). These successful policies have helped Singapore experience high speed development, growing from a 3rd World nation to 1st World nation in just 1 generation.
Singapore definitely is one of the most successful countries, although a young nation. It is producing a large portion of the top performers in the world. The next generation is just going to get even better with better and undoubtly more stressful education now. So much potential. Majula singapura.
Why the hell isn't this in the top ten?! China is very, very successful! It's developing very fast and twice as fast as India! The economy is growing very fast and it is becoming a lot more modern. China is awesome. America and Europe are the past. China is the future!
China isn't even Communist, people have different amounts of money in China, the owning of factories of China also means that it isn't Communist.
China has the most impressive for of government and has a assertive foreign and defense policy. China is the 2nd fastest growing country.
China's economy is growing fast and has the second largest economy and they have a large population and army. China deserves to be number 1.
Usually places in top ten regardless of survey along with other Northern European countries. Great and free-of-charge education, freedom of press, least corruption etc.
Finland has better equality than most European countries and has a better quality of life. Finland is full of nature untouched by man. In Finland you can really know the true meaning of freedom
This should be much higher in the list. It has such a great economy and government, and is an extremely developed and friendly country. I love Finland, and I think more people should know about it and how great it is.
Finland is very smart.
Do you think I will be smart if I go to finland?
Canada is a brilliant country full of excitement, adventure, freedom, and a great landscape, which makes the land unforgettable in its own words. It has a strong economy and it appreciates human rights.
Canada is awesome. Great people, gorgeous women, good food, great policies, beautiful land, intercultural, what more can you ask for?
So beautiful... I can never imagine the world without Canada. So many people are nice here. Love you, Canada!
I really wish to school in Canada but I am not opportune d as a result of financial problem.
Australia is without a doubt the greatest nation in the world today. Yes we may not have the powerful armies or the economic powerhouses or overwhelming international influence, but we have far better, more important and attractive features. In Australia, everyone, whether you're black or white, male or female is treated with the same respect as the next person. Indeed quite a number of my elder family are European immigrants. For years I've known that they chose to move to this country and those reasons are simple; equality, opportunity, peace and democracy. In Australia, everyone has the same rights, governance is fair and just and hinged by the rule of law. Here people enjoy the highest standards of living, with great opportunities for those to start a fresh page in a new life. We have the greatest education in the world and rank high in all international measures of humanity measurements. I could go on, but I simply would ever stop talking. To sum up in Australia we value and ...more
Allowing the individual who resides in Australia to feel as though they are not just a 'number', yet more of a 'individual'. Australia provides excellent public facilities and cares more about how people feel as opposed to getting people used to new ideas.
Being multi-cultural and so diverse in terms of scenery and geographic wise, the Australian standard is seen throughout the entire country. Clean, safe cities, towns with the rule of law.
Best country on the planet by far! This is not an biased and subjective triate.. But merely an accurate reflection of living in Australia.. Due to the ease at which Australia affords its citizens to have... However I don't think Australia will become a "super giant" economically... Due to its small population size... However.. If you want the worlds BEST standard of living.. Then look no further then Australia
Australia has a great health system, political system and has been the country least effected by the global financial crisis! And yes it is one of the most multicultural country in the world! Plus it has great whether beaches and food! Not that they have anything to do with it!
I've lived in Sweden for 12 years and I found it to be really easy for people to get jobs and good education. I am currently living in Singapore, a country in Asia that is very rich as well, but Sweden has a lot of good high points and we are economically stable to my understanding.
Great country, is high on almost everything good can't think of anything bad about Sweden. I'm moving there soon. Big hug from a Norwegian that will soon be a Swede.
Beautiful natural sites to see clean roads no damage anywhere un like the uk which I live in now.
Beautiful country with beautiful, kind, and respectful people.
South Korea was a country many nations helped 60 years ago just after Korean War. Now Korea is helping many nations in humanitarian way and with technologies.
There aren't any countries that became one of most successful countries in short-terms except South Korea.
I like how the main oriental Asian countries are doing so well. Asians are going to take over the world!
Many companies expect South Korea and other 3 dragons will be the richest state on earth in 2050.
1. The worlds most beautiful lake called Lake Saif-ul-Maluke is in Pakistan.
2. The only country that produce a legend of Squash player Jhangir Khan, Who win the British Title 10 times in row.
3. North Pakistan has the biggest glaciers in the world, and some of the most beautiful mountain sceneries.
4. Most of the largest mosques are located in Pakistan like the baadshahi mosque in lahore, faisal mosque in islamabad, masjid e tooba in karachi and mecca masjid in hyderabad.
Despite certain crisis and poor economic conditions, Pakistan is the only Muslim country on the gloab which is Atomic power, and still surviving as a strong country.
Worlds bravest army in the world to save the nation from terrors.
Pakistani peaple are the bravest I have ever seen the best Indian army in 1965 war. Indian army was 6 times larger and stronger than Pakistan, but Pakistan bested them
Despite all its oil revenue and 40% of its other revenue being retained by Westminster, Scotland is a successful country, providing for its citizens' needs much better than its larger neighbour.
Soviet Union (and all Warsaw Pact countries) was really successful without homeless and unemployed it was one and only Superpower.
Pioneered Space and Nuclear Arms and became the largest country in the world.
Why is this so low? Guess a lot of people don't really know the geography of the UK.
One of the highest GDP's per capita in the world, especially if you don't count the countries that are only on that list because of oil money. Great music, films, and soccer, not to mention the history of being the oldest kingdom in the world.
It is really wonderful and capable country in the surface of the world... I love them so much...
Denmark is good Chess history man, grandmaster Larsen, and super system football.
Iceland is the cleanest greenest country on earth. It is also the second best place to have a baby.
Extremely successful economy.
The greatest nation in the world (in the history of wars). They were managing the world with justice. They were killing who did injustice something they were killing he/she. (Even the turks)
Like Malaysia, Turkey will be in developed countries list in next age. But first step they should do is... Let Kurd free!
At least, much better than some of these.
The country destroyed the Byzantine, conquested Istanbul and so on...
Egypt is the "mother of the world". It holds one of the top seven wonders of the world and is extremely amazing.
Egypt is one of the most amazing countries in this world! about its people.. and places and way more... even though you might not be from there, it just feels like home. there are a lot of places you can visit there asit has the Nile ( the tallest river in the world) and also the pyramids (one of the seven wonders of the world) and it has history with france, greece, romania, britian turkey and other countires. Where mankind began. First to lead in every elements.
Lasted the longest
So england was a barron wasteland until numerous invasions?
Indonesia also has an unjust, corrupt and undemocratic system of government. Ordinary people are murdered on the lowest of crimes, standard of living is shocking, human rights are constantly violated, protective and security measures are just horrendous and every tourist who ever visits seems to die a "tragic death" either from surfing at those "great beaches", drinking or eating at Indonesian restaurants or from being imprisoned or executed based on ridiculous criminal accusations.
I Really Love Indonesia, because its have wonderful and beautiful places, very exciting... Indonesia have many unique and beautiful places, such as Bali, Lombok, Ambon, Bangka Belitung and Yogyakarta... You never imagine Indonesia, if you never come to Indonesia... Indonesia is Really Asia!
I Love Indonesia because its economy getting better year by year. But they have serious problem with corrupt government and work distribution.
There is still much corruption, prostitution, people have not been prosperous.
