Most Underrated Nu Metal Bands

The Top Ten
1 Breaking Benjamin Breaking Benjamin is a American post-grunge/alternative metal/rock band formed in 1998. The bands members all changed in the time between 2010 to 2014, with the exception of Ben Burnley (Vocals). The Ex-Members included Chad Szeliga (Drums), Aaron Fink (Guitar) and Mark Klepaspi (Bass). The band is one of the most well-known bands of its genre and is associated with its electronic sounds in their songs and overall technicality. After the release of their second album "We Are Not Alone", the band gained a lot success in Europe and Asia.

Breaking Benjamin has the very very nice songs. Like : The Diary Of Jane, Give Me A Sign, Breath, Sooner Or Later, And Many More.
Lyric of Breaking Benjamin Songs is meaning full.

It often create the songs for Original Sound Track.

This is the best band on this list other than Three Days Grace and Slipknot. But those 2 bands are not even underrated so Breaking Benjamin wins.

I'm sorry to break the news, but Breaking Benjamin is Alternative Metal, not Nu Metal. That doesn't mean they aren't good, though...

Not real nu metal though

2 Adema Adema is a nu-metal band from Bakersfield, California. The band formed in 2000 with members: lead vocalist Mark Chavez, vocalist/guitarist Tim Fluckey, guitarist Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo, and drummer Kris Kohls.

The reason I like them is because I think that Kevin Palmers voice sounds really clean and smooth, even though he doesn't have the greatest voice range in world of rock/metal. The thing I love the most in alt./nu-metal is the mix of clean singing and heavy, beafy guitar playing, which TC does in a great and awesome way (Downfall, for example, has awesome and cool drive, and James Fukais backvocal lifts Kevins voice up so nicely, which makes one of the best refrains I've ever heard! ) Running from Me also has an ongoing, heavy guitar play with semi-rapping in refrain, and that bomb towards the end is seriously the BEST thing I've heard in metal so far! It's just EPIC! Stronger is a great hit, but the weird thing that, to me, it may sound pop-punk (sometimes). Are they underrated? Well, they're not that obscure, but I still wish to hear more from them...

How is breaking benjamin underrated seriously? This isn't even a contest Trust Company wins hands down though Trapt and Adema are also good I prefer TC

4 Trapt Trapt is an American post-grunge band that formed in Los Gatos, California, in 1995. They are best known for their 2002 single "Headstrong".

Their Songs are great to listen. When I heard most of their songs I tried to look it up on YouTube. well they had so little views that shocked me. I shared their songs with my friends and they loved it... but never before heard of it! So this Band is very Underrated in my opinion.

Really great band. Consistently good album after album (But No Apologies is the best).

5 Mushroomhead Mushroomhead is an American nu metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in 1993 in the Cleveland Warehouse District, the band is known for their avant-garde sound which includes influence from heavy metal, art rock and electro-industrial and their imagery which features masks and costumes as well as their unique live shows usually performed at smaller venues.

Their masks are better than slipknot. SK has better music though

6 Godsmack Godsmack is an American alternative metal/hard rock band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The band is composed of founder, frontman and songwriter Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Shannon Larkin.

These guys are the best Nu metal band of all time but they are hardly ever heard of they need to be heard a hell of a lot more then they are now

Listen to the faceless album

Not underrated

7 Hed PE Hed PE, also known as Planet Earth and stylized as (hed)p.e., is an American rap rock/rap metal/nu-metal band from Huntington Beach, California.

Breaking Benjamin, evanescence, godsmack These are not underrated. Trust me the majority doesn't even know hed exists. (Hed) pes first 3 albums are the most underrated albums ever, the self titled album, is a straight out masterpiece blending in so many genres from metal to punk to rap to even some smooth lyrics. This band toured with slipknot, System of a Down, tool and more. The lead singers voice is so dynamic you think there are multiple singers. The lead singer has an amazing rapper voice, with that being said he can spit some pretty intense bars and he could even growl and scream. Hed has mastered genre blending and they do it pretty damn well. They have so many songs that would of been hits if the band was advertised more and if they didn't go underground which is why the band is underrated. Songs that I consider instant classics from this band is ground, serpent boy, killing time, Jesus, pos and basically all their songs in their first 3 albums, I specifically mention the first 3 albums because after that they kind of went downhill and I'm not saying all of their newer music is bad but I am trying to say it is no where near as good as the first 3.

Best albums (the must listen to albums)

1. Self titled

2. broke

3. Blackout

If your a fan of new metal, rap, all music in general you must listen to these albums!

by the way the fact that this band has been alive since 1994 and has gotten little recognition is unbelievable to me.

Oh and by the way hey have a lot of really really good unreleased songs like stitches, throat and hangman.

These guys, along with Static-X, are my pick for the most underrated nu-metal band. The best rhythm section in nu metal coupled with a great screamer, adequate guitarist, all packed in nu-metal with prog-rock elements.

God people are dumb mudvayne is the most lyrical has some of the most spine tingling screams and great flow and harmony in their music.

They should be way higher on this list! Dig is a top ten nu metal song in my opinion

In 2013 Gontier left the band due to creative differences. He was replaced with Brad's brother Matt Walst.

This band should be on top easily. They have good powerful and hard songs for when you are mad, and they also have some very meaningful songs. Plus all of the band members are pretty talented. And I know talented I am an A7x fan. Last but not least Adam Grontier has one of the most unique and awesome singing voices that I have heard. You guys have gotta check out their songs RIGHT NOW!

Awesome band I love them but I would call them that underrated
