Top 10 Funniest Adam Sandler Movies

The Top Ten
1 Happy Gilmore

Universally, it's most people's favorite all-time Sandler movie, and I get it. It has a plot that is conducive to comedic situations. The Wedding Singer will always be my favorite, but Happy Gilmore is right behind it.

This is one of Sandler's better movies. It's funny, the slapstick is done well, and it doesn't shove stupidity in your face. However, there is one scene that I could never understand. Why was Abraham Lincoln alongside Chubbs and the alligator in heaven? Shouldn't that be Happy's dad instead? I mean, why Lincoln?

2 Billy Madison

How is this at 8? What the heck? This movie has so many great scenes. That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of ACE! Haha! YouTube that, and you will laugh guaranteed!

This is my favorite movie of all time! Not just of comedy or Adam Sandler, but of everything I've seen. It was so funny. I could watch it every day.

I love this movie. It's a classic Adam Sandler film. I can't stop laughing through the whole movie. I can't believe this is number 8.

3 The Waterboy

Sandler plays Bobby Boucher, an uneducated waterboy who becomes a football star by taking out his anger on the ball carrier.

Should be number 2 in my eyes. I laugh out loud by myself just like when watching Happy Gilmore.

Momma says that this movie is hilarious! One of my all-time favorite football movies!

4 Click

I was very surprised at how moving Click was the first time I watched the film. It's a storyline that has been the backbone of many films, i.e., The Family Man and It's a Wonderful Life. Sandler just adds his flavor to the story. It worked and made for an entertaining and amusing flick.

Both comedy and sad elements - Adam Sandler is great for that. Even though he usually does comedy, this is one of those films that shows he's versatile. I love him in this film. I think it should have a higher rating!

This movie is more sad than it is funny.

5 Grown Ups

After their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend. They do anything for their wives except mature.

A very, very underrated movie. I laughed a lot at this movie, and Rotten Tomatoes gives it 10%.

6 You Don't Mess With the Zohan

An Israeli Special Forces soldier fakes his death so he can re-emerge in New York City as a hair stylist.

Absolutely one of the funniest movies ever!

What? This should definitely be in the top ten.

7 Big Daddy

This movie still makes me laugh and cry, which is the same reaction I got seeing it as a kid. Happy Gilmore is funny and a classic, no doubt cementing Adam Sandler's career, but this film globalized it. It's truly one of his all-time best.

A lazy law school grad adopts a kid to impress his girlfriend, but everything doesn't go as planned, and he becomes the unlikely foster father.

Sandler plays Sonny, a screw-up who takes care of his best friend's son, Julian, who shows up at his apartment while his friend is in China.

8 50 First Dates

Henry Roth is a man afraid of commitment until he meets the beautiful Lucy. They hit it off, and Henry thinks he's finally found the girl of his dreams, until he discovers she has short-term memory loss and forgets him the very next day.

This movie will always make you laugh! It's also a good love comedy movie! I loved this movie. It is the greatest! I also love Happy Gilmore, but I think 50 First Dates should be #1! This movie rocks!

I thought it was so cute but kind of sad. Don't you think it would get annoying every single day to have to say, Hi there, I'm your husband, and you're my wife?

9 The Longest Yard

Sandler plays former NFL quarterback Paul Crewe, who rounds up a group of inmates to play a football game against the guards.

Sandler plays his usual self, but the script and the story fit around him perfectly. It's beautiful.

10 Grown Ups 2

After moving his family back to his hometown to be with his friends and their kids, Lenny finds out that between old bullies, new bullies, schizo bus drivers, drunk cops on skis, and 400 costumed party crashers, sometimes crazy follows you.

This is Adam's best movie for sure. I think it's hilarious and doesn't deserve 7% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Yeah, it deserves 7.

The Contenders
11 Just Go With It

On a weekend trip to Hawaii, a plastic surgeon convinces his loyal assistant to pose as his soon-to-be-divorced wife in order to cover up a careless lie he told to his much younger girlfriend.

However many times I watch it, I laugh every time. Even thinking about it now makes me chuckle to myself. All the characters are awesome, and the actors are amazing!

Very good romantic comedy. Sandler and Aniston had, surprisingly, very good on-screen chemistry. Always enjoyed Just Go With It.

12 The Wedding Singer

You people obviously have not seen The Wedding Singer. Otherwise, it would be nothing short of #1. What the hell is wrong with you people? This is Adam Sandler's greatest comedy. Yes, I said it. His all-time greatest comedy. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Anger Management, etc., NONE of them can touch The Wedding Singer. You people are crazy to have it this low. I suggest you either rewatch it and actually pay attention, or if you haven't yet, watch the damn movie!

This film should be in the top 3. It's an Adam Sandler classic with laughs, a good plot, well-developed characters, a great ending, and a unique version of Adam Sandler.

13 Little Nicky

Sandler plays the Devil's son, Nicky, who tries to bring his brothers, Cassius and Adrian, who went to Earth, back to Hell before his father deteriorates.

Let's just say, if Punch Drunk Love had as many funny parts as Little Nicky, I would watch it.

I remember watching this movie when I was little. I absolutely love it!

14 I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry

I have always found this one to be incredibly amusing. They use all the taboo stereotypes that the "manly man" thinks about same-sex couples. However, there's a good moral to the story. This one is undoubtedly in my Top 5 Sandler flicks.

Sandler plays Chuck Levine, who helps his best friend, Larry (Kevin James), with his financial troubles by pretending to be gay and marrying him.

15 Blended

After a bad blind date, a man and woman find themselves stuck together at a resort for families, where their attraction grows as their respective kids benefit from the burgeoning relationship.

Amazing! Loved it. Two people who hate each other go on a trip to Africa and end up in love!

Amazing movie. Loved it!

Must watch, guys!

In love with Adam Sandler.

16 Mr. Deeds

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's so funny and has a really cool plot. I personally think this deserves to be number 1.

Obviously, it's a movie remade for modern-day audiences. Not my favorite Sandler film, but not my least favorite.

Sandler plays Longfellow Deeds, a pizzeria owner who inherits billions of dollars from his deceased uncle.

17 Anger Management

Sandler plays a businessman who is wrongly sentenced to an anger-management program, where he meets an aggressive instructor.

My favorite Adam Sandler movie ever. It's really, really fun to watch and super funny.

18 Pixels

Very underrated. Doesn't deserve all the hate it gets.

I think Pixels is the best movie ever!

Best movie and funniest movie.

Give me back my quarters, you ogre!

19 Jack and Jill

This movie had amazing acting from Adam Sandler, and the jokes were so witty. I believe this should be number 1.

I thought this movie was number 1. I guess I need to watch the other movies!

20 Airheads

Three heavy metal musicians (Brendan Fraser as Chazz, Steve Buscemi as Rex, and Sandler as Pip) hijack a radio station with water guns in hopes of getting their demo tape played.

21 Reign Over Me
22 Bedtime Stories
23 Eight Crazy Nights

I'm sorry... I... I can't help it. Call it a guilty pleasure, but I love this movie.

24 Ridiculous 6

Funniest one by a long shot. It has a different humor to it, but great nonetheless.
