Top 10 Most Overhated Animated Movies of the 2000s
-
Chicken Little
Chicken Little isn't that bad, but it's not that great either. It's certainly not one of the worst Disney movies.
I found this film OK, but it's better than people give it credit for.
At least give the movie some credit.
-
The Polar Express
This film was hated? Why?
-
Cars
It is my childhood film and I'm shocked how many people hate this movie. I watched a video on it and the reason some people hate it is because they think there is no point in having the cars alive when it could just be regular humans instead.
I feel like if they did that, the movie would be a whole lot more boring.
People hate it solely because of the sequel, but it's a good movie. The idea behind it is really good, and I'm a fan of the film.
Also, some characters are funny and use stereotypes not typically found in kids' movies, which makes it even funnier (the '60s hippie, the American veteran, the selfish sportsman, etc.).
-
Ice Age
It has Cars Syndrome. Many people hate it for the sequels, but it's good on its own.
-
Robots
Robots is criticized mainly for being innuendo-filled, when it's actually decent.
-
WALL·E
The same people who hate this movie were probably thrilled to hear Tom and Jerry speak regularly in their 1992 movie.
Mainly hated for not being a comedy like most other Pixar films.
-
Looney Tunes: Back in Action
I now hate this film, but at least it passed the Chuck Jones standards, unlike Space Jam (which I like, but for its own thing).
-
Recess: School's Out
It was a TV-based movie, so it's hated.
-
Rugrats in Paris: The Movie
People were tired of Rugrats by Y2K.
-
Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Happily N'Ever After 2: Snow White

Happily N'Ever After
-
Flushed Away
Its title may not sound like it's trying to be a good movie, but unlike The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, this film is genuinely entertaining, clever, enjoyable, well-written, and surprisingly has very little gross-out humor.
Gets way too much hate from some Aardman fans for being done in CGI, even though it was the only way the movie could be made at the time due to the abundant presence of water throughout the film.
It's also criticized for having more toilet humor than the average Aardman film, when in reality it has far less toilet humor than Pixar's Finding Nemo, believe it or not.
-
Meet the Robinsons
It always irks me when people compare this movie to Chicken Little, when it's nowhere near as bad as that movie.
A much better underrated Disney film than The Sword in the Stone.
-
Hoodwinked!
People only hate this movie because of its abysmal animation.
-
Treasure Planet
Too many Disney fans demonize this film for being Disney's biggest box office bomb before 2022's Strange World.
-
Titan A.E.
Far too many Don Bluth fans dismiss this film for being responsible for the permanent shutdown of Fox Animation Studios, even though it's far better and more enjoyable for teen and adult audiences than the four Don Bluth films released between All Dogs Go to Heaven and Anastasia.
-
Monster House
Should have gotten the Oscar for Best Animated Feature instead of Happy Feet.
-
Bee Movie
A much better 2007 DreamWorks film than Shrek the Third.
-
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
Blamed by many for ending 2D animated films at DreamWorks and for being inferior to their other three hand-drawn classics, despite still being a pretty good movie.
-
The Road to El Dorado
Mainly overhated by critics, as shown by its rotten critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
-
Delgo
I hate the film, but I feel bad for the team who worked through so much pain.
-
Shark Tale
Mainly hated for being Finding Nemo and Shrek in a blender.
-
Doogal
Mainly hated for the US dub. The UK dub is good.
-
Dinosaur

Terkel in Trouble
