Top 10 Best Moments from Toy Story 2 (1999)
Toy Story 2 is a beloved animated classic that captured the hearts of audiences young and old when it was released in 1999. The film continued the adventures of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang as they navigated the ups and downs of being toys in a world of humans.Throughout the film, we're treated to some truly unforgettable moments that have become iconic in the years since its release. From heartwarming scenes of friendship and loyalty to hilarious moments of comedy, Toy Story 2 has something for everyone.

Best ending of the series, tied with Toy Story 3's.
This is the most thrilling part of the movie and one of the best endings.

Woody: I don't have a choice, Buzz. This is my only chance.
Buzz: To do what, Woody? Watch kids from behind glass and never be loved again? Some life.
Symmetry from the first movie. Funny how that comes around full circle.
Great reference to the first movie and shows how much Buzz Lightyear has developed.

One of the saddest Pixar moments, Jessie's entire backstory is told in flashback through the song "When Somebody Loved Me." Jessie goes from being loved by her owner Emily to being forgotten about as Emily grows older. Years later, Emily finds Jessie under the bed but gives her away. One line that Jessie says sums it up: "You never forget kids like Emily or Andy, but they forget about you."
In my opinion, the saddest Pixar moment ever. Up's first ten minutes are sad, true, but they go by faster, which doesn't add as much immersion. Toy Story 3's ending was sad too, but at the same time, it was a happy ending. This one? It's tragic all the way for a good couple of minutes.

Honestly, the Roundup gang was memorable.
Woody gets kidnapped by Al, and while at his apartment, he meets Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete, who are all part of a very old show called Woody's Roundup. They show him the Woody collectibles and merchandise that Al has acquired over the years for his collection, and Woody is mesmerized by it all.

In my opinion, this was the scene that made the movie for me. It defines what Toy Story 2 is: the most epic and fun of the Toy Story adventures.
This is the best for me. Such a charming event.

A scene that takes place after Woody hears Jessie's backstory and, as he is leaving, Stinky Pete asks him, "How long will it last, Woody? Do you really think Andy's going to take you to college or on his honeymoon? Andy is growing up, and there's nothing you can do about it!" This leaves Woody with a tough decision: either go, despite not knowing what lies ahead, or stay with them and last forever in a museum in Japan. He ultimately decides to stay.

On par with the video game opening for being the most fun moment in the series.

Also symmetry to the first movie. Buzz meets another Buzz who acts like he did in the first movie, which raises more questions than answers. Do all toys start out thinking they're real?
Technically, that's what put this entire movie's plot into motion.
After getting his arm torn, Andy decides to leave Woody home. His mom places Woody on the high shelf, and the others are shocked to see him shelved, which is the ultimate form of shame if you're a toy.
The Newcomers
Buzz: We'll have to cross.
Toys: Gasp.
Mr. Potato Head: You're not turning me into a mashed potato.
Slinky: I may not be a smart dog, but I know what roadkill is.
This shows what happened to Al after the Roundup gang disappeared from his suitcase.
The fact that they don't crash at all is impressive.
It's a nice reference to one of Pixar's shorts, Geri's Game, with a cameo from Geri himself.
