Music Artists You Don't Want to Perform at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremonies

The Top Ten Music Artists You Don't Want to Perform at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremonies

1 Hatsune Miku Hatsune Miku, sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media.

Haha you're kidding me. People can't be this stupid. Even if you look at the picture, you see that this is a CARTOON CHARACTER. Hard to perform when you don't even exist. As we have determined this, we can therefore determine all of the votes for this character on the other list (you know what that list is) are most likely coming from one troll with too much time on their hands. Case closed.

This is insulting to Japan. You don't want her to perform at the ceremonies? You guys have no point at all! - Neonco31

I heard a Vocaloid was performing and came to watch the flames rise!

Personally, though my Vocaloid phase ended years ago, I'm still cool with this. It makes sense, considering that Miku is pretty much Japan's mascot at this point. - GraphiteTail

Sorry but to be honest, Miku isn't that popular in Japan. We see her character around but not many people know who she actually is unless they love Vocaloid or have interests in Anime (which of course, is not a bad thing or anything) But, for the typical teenager we would rather see popular acts who have talent... Hatsune Miku is lovely but we want to show singers who are real, who have dreams to inspire us! We want the world to see popular Japanese music all around Japan.

I don't want to see an American/European/Canadian artist perform at the 2020 olympics. I want to have a Japanese artist perform at the olympics IN JAPAN! When in Rome, do as the Romans. When in Japan, do as the Japanese.

I'm a fan of Taylor Swift, and I love her very much!

You love her very much because you like being negative. You like to be fans of cry baby singers. - LightningStrike

If it's the Tokyo Olympics then an American would likely not perform. Logic.

We can't have her there if she's being all negative! She needs a clear blank quiet room for her to calm down. - LightningStrike

I don’t think any non-Japanese artists should preform at the 2020 olympics. If the events are held in Japan, than we should select an artist that is popular in Japan. - AliciaMae

I don't really think Bigbang is proper for such important activities like Olympics...It's Japan not South Korea...And I think they are just some dancing cool boys.

44 AKB48

Their concerts are boring and they do not represent talent nor skill.

They would give people the wrong impression of Jpop. AKB48 are incredibly sugary, even when compared to other idol groups and sometimes their vocals are squeaky and on the verge of screaming. Their dances are cringe worthy and their target audience would give them a bad reputation and make Jpop labelled as an 'old man/ naive teenage boys' fantasy.

They bring the shame of Japan. They show the worst of Jpop and we don't want our Olympics audience to consist of only old men just because of AKB.
