Music Artists You Don't Want to Perform at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremonies

The Top Ten

1 Taylor Swift Taylor Swift Taylor Alison Swift (Taylor Swift) is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania. She is best known for writing break up songs and for having more than 5 Grammys. She became interested in country music when she was around 9 years old and after watching more.

I'm a fan of Taylor Swift, and I love her very much!

I don't want to see an American/European/Canadian artist perform at the 2020 olympics. I want to have a Japanese artist perform at the olympics IN JAPAN! When in Rome, do as the Romans. When in Japan, do as the Japanese.

If it's the Tokyo Olympics then an American would likely not perform. Logic. - naFrovivuS

2 Hatsune Miku Hatsune Miku Hatsune Miku, sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media.

This is insulting to Japan. You don't want her to perform at the ceremonies? You guys have no point at all! - Neonco31

Sorry but to be honest, Miku isn't that popular in Japan. We see her character around but not many people know who she actually is unless they love Vocaloid or have interests in Anime (which of course, is not a bad thing or anything) But, for the typical teenager we would rather see popular acts who have talent... Hatsune Miku is lovely but we want to show singers who are real, who have dreams to inspire us! We want the world to see popular Japanese music all around Japan.

Miku performs enough, let Rin and Len perform instead! They have just as amazing voices and just as amazing songs, if not, better!

Rally she will always be

All she's gonna show is her big butt not a good performance for olympic!

This would work for songs like "Super Bass" and "Starships", but not "Stupid H**" and "Anaconda". - TidalJ

15 Big Bang

Big-bang is good, cool band but I don't want them to perform at our Olympic because they are Korean (nothing against Korea, Korea is lovely country) but is Japanese Olympics, please let us have Japanese artists and let them shine

I don't really think Bigbang is proper for such important activities like Olympics...It's Japan not South Korea...And I think they are just some dancing cool boys.

I don't like them

Honestly one of my fave boy groups!

They're Korean so...they should perform at 2018 winter olympics since it's going to be in PyeongChang, South Korea

41 AKB48

They would give people the wrong impression of Jpop. AKB48 are incredibly sugary, even when compared to other idol groups and sometimes their vocals are squeaky and on the verge of screaming. Their dances are cringe worthy and their target audience would give them a bad reputation and make Jpop labelled as an 'old man/ naive teenage boys' fantasy.

They bring the shame of Japan. They show the worst of Jpop and we don't want our Olympics audience to consist of only old men just because of AKB.
