Top 10 Best Akon Collabs with Rappers

'Konvicted' singer, Akon, is a legend of R&B and has been for quite some years now. His prime was huge and ran somewhere between 2004-2008. Although Akon is more known for his singing than his rapping his impact and relevance to rap and also the Hip-Hop genre is undeniable. Through his career, he has collabed with some of the biggest heavy weights in rap and Hip-Hop and here's some great songs to show for it.
The Top Ten
1 I Wanna Love You (Snoop Dogg)

If you hadn't already gathered it from the title, this is quite a sexual song, which is nothing too out of the ordinary for Akon or Snoop. A simple but powerful love song that had two verses each performed by Akon and Snoop.

2 Beautiful (Kardinal Offishall)

Kardinal Offishall rapped an impressive verse describing a beautiful woman. The song also featured singer Colby O'Donis, who performed a small verse that was very fitting with the tone of the song. This is one of Akon's biggest and most memorable hits of all time.

3 Smack That (Eminem)

One of the old-school club bangers that never got lost through the cracks of time. The verses are shared between Akon and Eminem and are all pretty much about going to the club and finding a woman for the night. The verses are followed by one of the smoothest Akon choruses you'll ever hear.

4 Who Dat Girl (Flo Rida)

Iconic fast rapping by Flo Rida and a beautifully melodically sung chorus by Akon. We may never know 'who dat girl' actually was, but we certainly enjoyed the song in her dedication.

5 Locked Up - Remix (Styles P)

One of Akon's biggest early hits, which came from his debut classic, 'Trouble'. The featured rapper, Ruff Ryderz' Styles P, delivers two low-key but hard classic verses. Akon's two verses are not rapped, but sung, and have a very similar tone to the song's chorus, which he also sings.

Honestly, this is the only song on the list I like. Akon's voice is a pretty major deterrent for me, so he really needs to say something consequential to win me over.

6 I'm So Paid (Lil Wayne & Young Jeezy)

A 2008 tri-collab about hustling and money. Despite being well into his prime, Weezy's performance is nothing close to special, but Young Jeezy makes up for it with a pretty solid verse.

7 Find Us -In the Back of the Club (The Beatnuts)

The hardcore NYC Hip-Hop duo, The Beatnuts, feature Akon (although he is not listed as a feature) for vocals on a classic, catchy party song. Akon re-released the song as his own on his 'Trouble' album in 2005.

8 Baby, I'm Back (Baby Bash)

The low-key rapping artist known for 'Suga Suga', Baby Bash, features Akon on this memorable 2005 hit. The song was originally released on Baby Bash's album, Super Saucy, but was re-released on Akon's Trouble (Deluxe Edition) also in 2005.

9 Blown Away (Styles P)

A LOX founding member earned himself another listing on this list. P only raps the opening verse but makes up for it with smooth rhymes over the song's eerie piano beat.

10 Be More Careful (E-40)

Melodic Akon iconic singing and gangster lyrics by West Coast Hip-Hop legend E-40. The song is simply about the protagonists looking out for themselves in the hood.
