The Precision Bass was the first electric bass guitar to become a huge success. It was so iconic that for a time, people in general referred to bass guitars (regardless of who made them) as "Fender basses". It replaced the upright bass in popularity, and is still frequently used to this day. As always, players who use the Precision Bass more frequently get higher priority on the list.
