Top 10 Best Albums of 1973

The Top Ten
  1. Queen - Queen

This is so criminally underrated. Critics are so stupid and think everything has to be perfect. I have no idea why this album flopped - it's awesome.

Rock legends' debut album was spectacular, with the wonderful Keep Yourself Alive guitar intro and Queen's brilliant musical ability.

  2. The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

Queen's first album is promising, but not great. The Dark Side of the Moon, however, is not only great - it's out of this world. Words can't describe how this album affects me.

"Queen" isn't even my favorite Queen album. Dark Side of the Moon, in my opinion, is the greatest album of all time. I do like Queen's debut, though, just not as much as I like DSOTM.

On the top ten best albums of all time list, this is #1, but it makes sense that it isn't the best album of the year it came out.

  3. Houses of the Holy - Led Zeppelin

  4. Selling England by the Pound - Genesis

In my opinion, it's better than Dark Side of the Moon or Queen's debut (which I thought was released in '72, but I was probably wrong). Firth of Fifth, Dancing with the Moonlit Knight, and The Cinema Show might change your mind, but I still love Queen's debut and Dark Side of the Moon.

Queen's debut was good, but not like this.

    This one deserves more votes.

  5. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Black Sabbath

Top 5: Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Selling England by the Pound, Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Dark Side of the Moon, and Tres Hombres.

Of course. One of the best rock albums of all time.

This and Selling England. And Larks, of course.

  6. Never, Never, Never - Shirley Bassey

  7. Raw Power - The Stooges

    Gimme danger, little stranger.

  8. Quadrophenia - The Who

I'd say this deserves to be higher than 9. One of The Who's best albums.

Can't believe this is so low.

  9. Innervisions - Stevie Wonder

  10. Ring Ring - ABBA

This was their debut album that started their road to superstardom.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Tempest - Tempest

  13. ?

    Journey - Kingdom Come

  14. The Contenders
  15. Goats Head Soup - The Rolling Stones

  16. Tyranny and Mutation - Blue Öyster Cult

  17. Band on the Run - Paul McCartney and Wings

  18. Live and Let Die - Paul McCartney and Wings

  19. Aerosmith - Aerosmith

  20. ELO 2 - Electric Light Orchestra

  21. Aladdin Sane - David Bowie

  22. (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) - Lynyrd Skynyrd

  23. Tres Hombres - ZZ Top

  24. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John

  25. Future Days - Can

  26. Larks' Tongues in Aspic - King Crimson

This should at least be in the top five. I prefer this over DSOTM.

How is this so low? Better than DSOTM at least.

  27. Billion Dollar Babies - Alice Cooper

  28. Camel - Camel

  29. A Passion Play - Jethro Tull
