Best Alice In Chains Albums
If you're looking for the perfect album, here it is! From the first to the last song, all the tracks are incredible.
Fantastic album, start to finish. Not a single bad song. Here comes the Rooster, yeah!
This is a solid album. It's probably the best EP I've listened to in a while. All the songs have very good riffs, and the album is very acoustic. There is not a bad song on this album. Can't wait for the new album!
It's an EP, but it's definitely my favorite AIC release. It's the release that defines the band the most of all their releases, though Facelift and Dirt are fantastic albums as well!
Definitely their best album. Not one bad song.
Horribly underrated. I haven't listened to Dirt, but this album is much more diverse and uncommercial than Facelift. It's darker as well. Not as good vocally, though.
Much as I love Dirt, it's a painful listen. I love this album and play it more now than any of the others. Just got Rainier Fog, so on first listen. Fingers crossed?
It has such a dark tone and it is so underrated. Dirt is like this album's angrier cousin, but they're both amazing.
This album is a bomb! Every track has a great sound, from Man in the Box and Love Hate Love to Confusion or Put You Down. Choosing only one of them is impossible. They are all absolutely wonderful.
Amazing album, but the only song I dislike is Man in the Box. I'm just not into it, sorry people, but Love Hate Love and Sunshine are amazing.
From top to bottom, every song is listenable. Most are damn good. Honestly, the only one I don't care for is "I Know Something (Bout You)."
As a huge Alice in Chains fan, who would otherwise vote for Dirt, Jar of Flies, or Tripod dog, I chose BGWTB because after listening to it - a good six to seven times in the past two days - for the first time since its original release, I have realized what an incredible album this is.
If it was released one to two years after the self-titled album, I bet most of you would be hard-pressed not to put it somewhere in the top three. But because of Layne Staley's death, fans just could not accept it, myself included. William DuVall does a superb job, and Jerry Cantrell is in top form, just phenomenal songwriting top to bottom.
I highly recommend giving this album another listen. Give it two to three spins, and hopefully, you will see what a beautiful piece of work it is.
The live version of "Nutshell" on this I find is even better than the original off Jar of Flies. Layne has so much more emotion and pain in his voice. You can hear it!
Listen to it a few times. It really grows on you. I wasn't thrilled at first, but now I listen to it more than any of the others.
Underappreciated. This album is always on repeat.
Great new album by them! Songs like All I Am, So Far Under, Red Giant, Never Fade, and Drone make this album a very exciting listen.
Best album with DuVall for sure!
Great EP over here! Come on, guys, this is much better than all the stuff until number 2. It should be right behind Jar of Flies.
It's the better greatest hits album.
