Best Fall Out Boy Songs

This is such a classic and the song most will recognize as Fall Out Boy. Yeah, it can be overplayed but that doesn't change my opinion on this song.
Kick ass song and iconic beyond measure.
If I ask my neighbors who Fall Out Boy is, their response would probably be, "The, 'We're going down down,' band, right? "
I play guitar, and this is a jam! I blast this (to the detriment of my hearing and neighbors agreeability) and play along in my garage--jumping around and windmilling like I'm Joe.

Song.
Up.
Now.
Thnks Fr Th Mmrs is fantastic, yet Sugar We're Going Down is the clear and obvious winner.
If you're going for iconography-Sugar.
If you're going for sales-Sugar.
If you're going for lyricism probably Arms Race clenches it.
But Thnks Fr Th Mmrs?
I feel as though some FoB fans are attempting to allude, "No! We're not band wagoners! We love the band in all its diversity! Sugar is played way too much! "
The reality is, if these FoB fans were searching for their best song, it would probably be The (Shipped) Gold Standard. Unpopular? Yes. But lyrically and musically, The ...more
Well, this is the song I fell in love with. I wasn't into Fall Out Boy until they came back from their hiatus, but this is STILL the best one by far. You have to love Patrick's vocals that seem like he's almost barking them out but in a fantastic way. I also really enjoyed Pete's backups when he's saying "Take aim at myself, take back what you said". As always, the guitar is just amazing. I like Thnks Fr Th Mmrs as well, but come on people.
I have gotta agree with one of the comments here. I mean like they said this is like what people think when they hear the words 'Fall Out Boy', not anything like 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs'. It's a great song and all, even I love it, but I can NEVER compare to SWGD. Even non-fans know of this song the most. It's their legacy! It means so much more than a lot of other songs, even if they MIGHT be catchier etc. We need this beauty of the song at the top again!

The Phoenix, Young Volcanoes and The Take Over The Breaks Over all come close, but this song definitely takes the title. So catchy and the vocals are just impeccable! I remember I went back to one of my primary school dances ages after graduating and this song came on and I just lost it at the chorus. No matter how many times you hear it, it never gets old.
Yay! This is the song that got me into Fall Out Boy! I think that this song is wonderful! This is my favorite song by them and I think Dance Dance would come next. Anyway, this is just an amazing song and if you haven't heard it you really should.
I remember listening to this song a while back when it was released but I had no idea about who and whatnot.. I adore the punk-like style Fall Out Boy have to their Music and this song (compared to their other songs) represents this type
This song is amazing-Patrick's vocals and petes lyrics are at their best here-they even
Have an entire orchestra and a mandolin at one point! There was just one thing that let me down in the video? Can anyone guess:it begins with kim and ends with dashian

I love this song simply because of it's meaningful lyrics, like "Drink up, it's last call, last resort, but only the first mistake" and the beat is just amazing. Another amazing lyric goes "Weighed down with words too overdramatic, tonight it's "It can't get much worse" vs "No one should ever feel like! "
Good beat, good drums and guitars. Both melody and backup guitars are extraordinary. As usual, amazing vocals and pure alternative rock. My personal reason of loving this song is that it reminds me of a beautiful pasttime memory. Glorious.
It's not as good as the 3 songs above it but it's MUCH better than thanks for the memories! The top 5 should be:
1. Sugar, We're Going' Down
2. I Don't Care
3. This Ain't A Scene
4. Dance Dance
5. Beat It
Get it right!
Great song! Hey guys, you should check out the band Jimmy Eat World, they are quite similar to Fall Out Boy, especially in the vocals and they need more fans. Please check them out!

Okay, I get why Thnks Fr Th Mmrs and Sugar We're Going' Down are fan favourites. But let's be real: those songs weren't well known or well liked when they came out. I've heard this song so many times on popular radio stations, meaning that it's great for Fall Out Boy fans and the general public. Also, this is the song that put Fall Out Boy back on the map after a 3 year hiatus! And it is one of the most catchy and fun songs and has great lyrics. Shouldn't this song receive more praise than it's getting?
One of the best rhythmic and melodic styles I've ever heard in a song. It's so passionate and almost desperate in a unique sort of way if that makes sense. It just riles me up and I can't stop from bouncing off the walls when I hear this song. It's truly a magnificent masterpiece!
This song has been my favorite song since January 2014 and is responsible for hoe I found fall out boy. This is the storyI was watching the 2014 pro bowl one day and fall out boy was doing the halftime show and sang this song. It was stuck in my head the rest of the week and that's how if ound fall out boy.
This song was word of the best things that happened to me. I remember the day that this came out I was really happy because it was the return and the reunion of fall out boy and I just screamed of joy and excitement because I was really sad and depressed during the hiatus because I thought that they would never come back. So that's the reason that this is my favorite fall out boy song and also the lyrics I really relatable to me and the song is just pure awesome.

Even though I like FOB's old music better, this song is amazing! This song was an incredible com back, Just like the lyrics say.
Put on your war paint
So we can take the world back from a heart attack
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
By far my favorite song on repeat for hours on end,
"So we can take the world back from a heart attack
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
Hey young blood, doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix" really touches me
Eh, I thought this wouldn't of made it but I guess I was wrong... Save rock&roll is my favorite album and my favorite song from it is rat a tat and where did the party go, the phoenix is probably #3 or #4 because its an ok song with a lot of excitement, but not my favorite
I was skeptical about Fall Out Boy's return but, honestly, after hearing this song, I was convinced the album was going to be great. Patrick is spectacular with this song and this is worthy of the top 10.

Awesome beat. I wasn't overly impressed with other Fall Out Boy songs but this is the one that got me hooked!
Sugar may be the obvious choice but I like this one much more.
Fall out boy, what can I say, this song is known really well. And you can easily dance to it to like dance dance, this song is in my top ten.
One of their best songs hands down. Catchy lyrics, some of the best guitar riffs, and awesome choruses. Above Thnks fr th Mmrs.
First song I loved. Purely a masterpiece

Are you guys demented!? This song is way better than any of the above... Did you people even listen to this song. This song rocks and is the best. It actually has a meaning. It inspires and motivates us to do better and put our names down in the books of history. It has a fabulous time and great lyrics all put together by the best band. Come on guys and listen to this song.
I have to agree this is a great song, but it isn't their true style of music that got them to where they are. They lost many fans, but nevertheless, they are gathering a new generation of a young fanbase looking for innovation. Producing the music they produced in the 2000's would not get them anywhere.
Centuries is my favorite song! When I was looking for something to download, I picked this and, ten seconds into the song, I downloaded it! All of you say it is overrated, and I slightly agree, but it is never played today!
Ok long story:
I was looking for some songs to download and knew about Fall Out Boy and searched his songs up. I saw this song and played it. 3 seconds in, a paused and just downloaded it as soon as I could.

This song is my all time favorite. I love all songs by Fall Out Boy, but this placed in my top 3. I know I should love all of their songs equally, but really, this one is beautiful. I love how Patrick uses his voice in this, it sounds so great with the guitar and drums.P. S I am listening to it right now
I still do not understand how Thanks for the memories has gotten SO many votes! This is a FAR better song, so can all the little girls stop voting for Thanks for the memories, in fact do NOT vote at all! This is proper Pop Punk Rock right here!
People are always in a rush to get better. But do they ever like what was the best in the old days? no, they say that is old so I'm just going to listen to pop! pop is just people that can sing taking the credit of the band. There are reasons the classics are appreciated by the people that remember past present and future
This song is brilliant! The video is so amazing and it has their angsty teen/college poetic aspect to it. It just reminds me of my childhood and brings back so many great feelings of nostalgia. I wish Fall Out Boy had stayed like this forever.

I'm really disappointed that this song is only at #5. Why? 1: It's extremely catchy 2: it has a brilliant chorus 3: the instrumentals on this are incredible 4: it's got an awesome guitar solo. I would put this at #2 or #3 along side Dance, Dance.
Such a great song! Brilliant riff with a driving rhythm, great lyrics and lyrical style, and the rest of the gang on backing vocals do themselves proud.
The video's hilarious too!
In all my 18 years of listening to music, both old and new, I have never heard a sweeter tune than this one. Normally I'd say that I don't have a favourite song; rather, a list of favourite songs, but this one...
Make me glad to be alive.
AWESOME SONG! should be at number one spot because it's a great song, catchy, and just a fun song. I honestly think this song should be at the top. Along with dance, dance and this ain't a scene, its an arms race.

Maybe it's not the best musically, speaking of how much effort was put into it, but this is definitely the mostly heartfelt fob song ever. It's a perfect blend of friendship, loyalty, and love, and on top of that, it's a beautiful sounding song as well. And after all this, at the end we have many artists signed to decaydance sing choruses from past fob hits, but slowly and almost solemnly, just adding to the beauty of this song.
And there's the music video.
This is probably the most heart-felt, beautifully written, sung and played Fall out Boy song out there. It still has their feel to it, and their witty lyrics on top of that. I almost died during the ending when they made a tribute to all their past hits. If FOB had just stopped their career after this song, It wouldn't even be so bad.
This there best song yet come on guys this song is the mash-up of there songs like the grand theft autumn, sugar where going down, thanks for the memories its like there last song but its not I hope this song get more votes and this should be in the top ten to overall awesomeness I respect the FOB keep on rocking guys!
This song is hands down one of (if not the best of) FOB. Everything about it, on top of that it was the last on the album before their hiatus, sets it up to be a song that will be remembered. It's honestly an instant classic, a timeless song that will be remembered long after their careers are over.

This is my absolute favorite song. I can listen to it for hours and not get tired of it. It sounds amazing and has an important message in it if you listen to the lyrics. I would definitely place at #1.
This song not only is part of Fall Out Boy's spearhead back into the rock genre, but it also is my favorite song because of the story it tells like Fall Out Boy is known to do.
The lyrics are so amazing and it has a really catchy beat. Save Rock and Roll is my favourite Fall Out Boy album and this song is one of favourite songs from the album.
The lyrics are fantastic, all the chorus are brilliant, and the last part always make me cry.
All the rhythms sounds great.

One of the classics that get me every time. Makes me feel something when I hear it, unlike some of their new music. Though their new music is great, I don't feel anything that makes me think. This song is beautiful and I love it!
Finally a non-mainstream song by them that is below number 20. Their new stuff sucks, like Centuries. My favorite song is "Our lawyer made us change the name of this song so we wouldn't get sued", and a few more. But this song is very good too.
"The tree I used to lay beneath, kissed teeth, stained red. From that sour bottle baby girl, with eyes the size of baby worlds"... If this isn't one of the most meaningful lyrics of Floie A Deux or that you've ever heard, then you don't love Fall Out Boy!
Amazing, can't stop listening to it. I seem to have a favourite Fall Out Boy song ever week but this one seems to be at the top of my favourite list along with Tiffany Blews. How is that not at the top either!?

Really? I don't think any song off of Save Rock and Roll should be above the classics. They have downgraded, but I am still a die hard fan because their old music still lives on!
This song is one of the best, I think it should be in the top ten. Not to mention the instrumentals in this song are amazing, along with an amusing video to top it all off! Great piece of musical art
This is one of the greatest songs they ever made in this group album made in 2005 this song made in 2006. 2006 Will always be the best year ever in the planet for music.
Well at least the 2 commercial hits are number 1 while their better songs are down here in the "contenders" list instead of the top 10 where they belong.

This song brings me close to tears every time I hear it. I love Patrick Stump and Elton John's voices mixed and harmonized and they fit so perfectly together. The piano as well as guitar add something different to Fall Out Boy's genre that we have never heard before. A perfect ending to the comeback album.
Story of my life, right here:
"I need more dreams and less life
I need less dark and a little more light
I cry tears you'll never see
So forget you, you can go cry me an ocean
And leave me be
You are what you love, not who loves you
In a world full of the world yes, I'm here to scream no
Wherever I go, trouble seems to follow."
The greatest band in the world managed to get someone who was knighted by a queen to sing in their song and made one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, it was an instant classic that brought back what rock and roll was all about.
I love all of Fall Out Boy's songs, from What A Catch, Donnie to "The Take Over, The Break's Over, to even Wilson (Expensive Mistakes). But this one takes the cake.

I love fall out boy. But like all artists who have had an elongated career, a lot of their songs can sound very similar. That doesn't mean they're bad, just not original.
However, this song breaks the mold. It has beautiful lyrics that have plenty of deeper meaning. It doesn't become just a mash of words and guitars that exist to please the masses. It has a good rise and fall to it that messes with your emotions.
All in all, I love this song. Rock on fall out boy!
The pure emotion conveyed through this song is just heart-stopping. I felt everything the subject felt and how they questioned whether or not they actually loved a past romantic interest while simultaneously mourning her loss. I still get chills whenever I hear this song.
This song is pure emotion. Pure Pop Punk, and I love it so much! Deep lyrics, very original and catchy, full of meaning. Why is this so low? Jet Pack Blues deserves to be at least in top 5!
This song makes me feel emotions that even a lot of other FOB songs don't. It's just got such a distinct quality to it, and singing it is so much fun.

I love this song! The first few lines just pull you in, and I had one day when I played it eight times because it was so addictive and awesome.
Love the beat of the chorus and how it's one of those songs you just want to chant along to.
Oh and that little giggle! I can't forget that! Who DOESN'T love that, it's so adorable.
This is a song that you could let your imagination run every which way while listening to. When I write stories I listen to this song among others for inspiration. Should be second to only My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark.
I absolutely love this song! The guitar rhythm pulls you in. It's different from their other songs but still had the Fall Out Boy charm.
This is so AMAZING! My best friend and I sung this song for our choir class and they LOVED IT! This song has helped get through so many hard times.

I love this song. It sounds amazing and catchy. And although, the music video was rather enjoyable in a humorous way, The mob and Hemingway really caught my attention.
Catchy beat, thought-provoking lyrics and a sick guitar solo - what more could you ask for? Really loving F.O. B's new albums and songs but not to forget the good ol' stuff as well!
This is like epic with Patrick's guitar and his vocals are so intense and I know like the whole song basically my point is THIS IS AWESOME!
The beat is great and so catchy, the song really gets stuck in your head, I love it. Easily one of the best fall out boy songs.

This is one of the songs that is always fighting for the title of my favorite Fall Out Boy song. I know the lyrics to this song by heart (they aren't difficult or anything) and always sing this in the shower. We're only liars, but we're the best/ We're only good for the latest trends/ We're only good because you can have almost famous friends/ Besides, we've got such good fashion sense
42!? No way should this song be that low, it's amazing. Sure, some of the lyrics are kind of messed up, but they're no worse than other songs by similar bands. This song should at least be in the top 30, and yet it can't even crack the top 40!? Seems ridiculous to me. x
Great sonf.. After the intro it sounds like a lot like another song, like the first like, been bugging me a lot but its what stopped me from skipping the song, quite underrated, but if someone could remind what the song is?
Nice opener to from under the cork tree. More punky than the others. that's why I like it.

That one is on my top 5 songs of fall out boy, I like the lyrics of course but the rhythm is DIVINE!
When it appears in big hero 6 it emanates great vibes and it's perfect
I can't believe this song is so much down in the ranking! This song is pure awesome... I am in love with this song. This song made the movie sound awesome. This song definitely deserves to be in the Top Ten.
Immortals is a great step to nostalgia. Big Hero 6 gets 100/100 stars.
Usher could sing this song and voice Sonic the Hedgehog.
I personally think this song is the best one yet out of all the songs of theirs I've heard so far I with this song was #1. This song is awesome

Fall Out Boy is my favorite band and when I think of Fall Out Boy I think about Saturday. Pete Went was amazing with screamo. The lyrics are real cool and meant for their best album "Take This To Your Grave".I'm addicted to this song,I can't stop listening to it.Please listen to this song.Well I don't say you'll like it as much as I do but all I guarantee I you won't dis like it or hate it.Long live Fall Out Boy.
This song needs more recognition if it is this low on this list! Patrick, as usual, is amazing with the vocals and this song is overall just great! It needs to be higher up.
Very Fall Out Boy style lyrics with lots of energy. This song can basically represent "Take This to Your Grave". And that was probably their greatest album.
Sugar is my favourite, but this is a close second, being 23rd here is ridiculous. There's a reason its almost always the last song they play at a show, guys.

This song is very powerful and really great! This songs proves Patricks awesome singing skills on so many levels. His singing can go from high to low which has him hitting those beautiful notes, setting an amazing impact on the entire song. The music all together has a really strong melody, bringing you in and filling you up with all these emotions. Emotions of how beautiful and fantastic this song is. The first time I listened to this song, it sucked me in and took forever to get that song out of my head. But I loved it! It should have been top ten, honestly, because its too perfect!
I'm not originally FOB fans. The single in their first album, 'where is your boys? ' one of the worst song I have ever heard. Times goes on, and here they are with Headfirst slide into cooperstown, what a catch donnie, disloyal order of water buffaloes. Now they are one of my favorite band. But still, I hate their early albums. Haha
I love and listen to fallout boy all the time, and though some of the songs above are more notorious, I just don't see how they can beat other songs like these or get so much more attention.
Patrick's voice and vocal range has me playing this song on a never-ending loop. This song is my all time favorite, which is insanely hard to say, considering just how good Fall Out Boy is.

I'm a fan of both their old and new stuff, even though I slightly like their older songs more (dance dance, this ain't a scene it's and arms race, etc). But... This one song from American Beauty/American Psycho is just so fun to listen to that I can't help but vote for it.
This is their best song, but Immortals, Centuries, and My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark were pretty good, too.
I can move mountains, I can work a miracle. I'll keep you like an oath, and nothing but death do us apart.
Underrated song! It should have been a hit in the UK but did not garner much airplay except on radio 1. On the billboard charts it continues to rise, hopefully reaching the top ten! Great song!
This song cracks me up every time with the low jazz sound mixed in with a piano solo. My definite favorite Fall Out Boy song!

When I started looking at the list I was like "haha, irresistible will be here somewhere in the top tens" but when I saw it on number 48 I almost started laughing, this is a joke this song is so amazing it deserves to be in the top ten. I know no one is voting for this song because the only reason is that no one has listened to I. So giddy up and download this song
This song is so good I could listen to it over and over again. It deserves to be #1.
'You look so Seattle but you feel so LA' has to be one of the best Fob lyrics ever.
I know it's new, but vote song till first. It's just irresistible!

Probably one of the best songs they have ever made! There are very few FOB songs that I hate, and I even liked their two most recent albums. That being said, their older stuff was amazing and "I slept with someone in fall out boy and all I got was this stupid song written about me" is one of the overlooked gems on From Under The Cork Tree.
There are very few FOB songs that I hate, and I even liked their two most recent albums. That being said, their older stuff was amazing and "I slept with someone in fall out boy and all I got was this stupid song written about me" is one of the overlooked gems on From Under The Cork Tree.
Really twenty one this is the best song they have ever made. I mean obviously they picked the longest title for the best song. This is just completely ridiculous.
Makes no sense why this song is this low on the list. This song has everything in it. Angsty lyrics, Sick riff, Awesome chorus. This is the song that got me into FOB.

What the heck!? How is Saturday ahead of this!? Get this above Saturday ASAP, this is a much better song and one of their signatures!
This song is their best song! This is way better than My songs know what you did in the dark, thanks for the memories, dance dance, etc
This is a signature fall out boy song that deserves respect. It started it all
Come on. New Fall Out Boy sucks. This song is amazing.
