Top 10 Best Wham! and George Michael Songs
One of the best singers of all time and no such list available to guide music-lovers to get to know his best. Here it's my pleasure to make a list of top tens of my favorite singer.Nobody loves George Michael and his music more than I do. I've been listening to him for over 35 years and I love all of his songs, but this is, in my opinion, his all-time best. It is the perfect blend of music, lyrics, instrumentation, and voice, making it one of the greatest songs of all time. It is his legacy to the world, and what a legacy it is.
I was born in 1998, and this song was released in 1984. I think my generation should stop listening to all those lousy artists and start listening to the real music made before I was born. It's a great composition that moves me in a way that words can't describe.
I love this song. I feel a lot like this song because every night I feel like just giving up, and every morning it's like, okay, maybe just one more try. I only keep going for my mom.
I was bed-ridden, recovering from surgery when I heard this song playing in the next room. It spoke to me in a magical, spiritual way. I love this song.
This song makes me well up every time. Such a gorgeous voice, so wholesome and powerful. If you want to hear George really sing, this is the one.
This song is the only reason why I love George Michael. (I'm not saying his other songs are bad, no... But this song literally goes funnier and nicer than many other songs that just don't turn my imagination on.)
I think this song would be higher, but it's okay. I like Last Christmas too much, as this one but, in my opinion, this is the most iconic song by Wham!
I never heard about this song in my youth, but now I realize it's one of the best pop songs I've ever heard.
I don't know who said that Christmas music is only good at Christmas time, because I play this song all year. It's that good, but I really play it a lot more starting on Thanksgiving.
This song should be number two after Careless Whisper. The beat of this song is absolutely good, even far better than Wake Me Up, and really a meaningful song too. Please vote this.
This has to be the second best song of George Michael! The song, lyrics, and tune are really touching. And it really touches the heart!
Now this is third on my list of fave Wham! songs. Let's get it nearer the top!
He sings with so much emotion and passion in this song.
Even some new school rappers sampled this song.
This is, in my opinion, his best song ever! Out of all the amazing songs that this amazing man has written, the one people remember the most is "Faith"! "Well I guess it would be nice if I could touch your body! I know not everybody has got a body like you!" Epic lyrics and kick-ass guitar! Great vibe! This should be number 1!
Well I guess it would be nice if I could touch your body! I know not everybody has got a body like you.
That pretty much sums it up. This song has some kickin' guitar, and it is about his favorite subject. This is like his theme song.
I like that it is a slow song. It has been said that it was a fast song at one time, but George Michael didn't want it to be a fast song. He felt it was better as a slow song. Good call, George Michael.
My favorite GM song. Haunting and beautiful. I never tire of this song.
The riff is fantastic. I could listen to it all day long. It creates a mystic vibe. Great song.
This track is awesome, relevant, suspicious, sophisticated, immortal, unbeatable, classic, mega, alpha, productive, unbelievable, and with a good message on his point to show why it is the best.
Personally, I believe this is the best George Michael song. It has great, heartfelt lyrics and many different sections that cover many different genres of music. It is ridiculous and criminal how low this song is on the list. I think it should be competing for number 1.
I never liked Careless Whisper or other George Michael songs, but this one is just his best and most awesome of all time.
Faith is the best George Michael song, but does anybody here know that Faith contains a sample of this song? So, in particular terms, Freedom is the greater one and the biggest hit by Wham!
I can't believe this song is not even on the list! Come on everybody, this is one of his best!
His absolute best! Catchy, amazing music and lyrics. Should be number 1!
One of the best songs ever. It's sexy, smooth, and catchy.
It's natural. It's chemical. Let's do it!
All these years and I had never heard this song from GM. Now it's my favorite of his! His voice is so beautiful and the lyrics tug at my heart.
Love this track, it's so emotive, beautiful lyrics and melody. To me, much better than Careless Whisper.
This is definitely the saddest and the best song that George Michael has ever composed.
"But that scar on your face
That beautiful face of yours
In your heart there's a trace
Of someone before"
Lyrics to die for! What a song!
I love the sweet flow and sway to this beautiful song. I just sing along with it.
In retrospect, perhaps one of George Michael's most personal songs. Both melancholic and nostalgic, it stands, to this reviewer, as his artistic masterpiece. Beautiful lyrics and tunes.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written. A song that perfectly represented him as an artist. This should definitely be in the top 5!
For me, this is on top of George Michael's songs along with Careless Whisper.
This song deserves to be higher than 19. The emotion in his voice as he sings about trying to move on from Anselmo, but no one is the same, and how he misses his baby is heartbreaking. The best George song.
This song is just so cool and definitely should be in the top 10, if not top 5. Brilliant and so cool.
Brilliant song and brings back brilliant childhood memories. One of the truly great pop artists in his absolute prime.
I love this song, but I feel like Aretha was a little bit too loud because I can't really hear George Michael that much. However, I do like the song.
I love this song. It's so heartwarming and inspiring.
Umm, why isn't this #1? I mean, hello?
Come on people, this is one of his best. Was number one on Billboard for two weeks. Five of the songs ranked ahead of it didn't even hit the top five. One of my favorites, anyways.
Perhaps his best effort. Should definitely be ranked no lower than fifth or sixth.
Awesome. George shows off some killer dance moves in the music video.
Sheer perfection. Thing is though, how does one choose from so many outstanding songs?
I really like this song. They both sing it very well.
I love this song. The way they sing it is so good.
Makes me think of a love gone by, that I know will never come back or could ever be replaced.
This is timeless, just perfect.
Not the biggest fan of George Michael but the biggest fan of Praying For Time. Such a beautiful piece of song.
This is his greatest song. He sang this on an American Idol finale and brought the house down.
Absolute best song of all time! The lyrics are so meaningful and relevant. Timeless!
It is so raw… funky! I can't help but move to this.
Not usually a fan of George Michael, but I love this one. I think this is his best.
I can totally see everything in this song reflected in my life.
This and Club Tropicana deserve more attention.
