Best Songs Off Kanye West & Jay Z's Watch the Throne
And he finally built one
Murder: The raw facts of inner-city life--in Chicago or any city.
Excellence: What could be but isn't quite yet. After 4 years, the barriers are still there.
A two-part masterpiece--the essence of Watch The Throne.
This is quite an interesting song.
The song is built around a sample of Cassius' 2010 single I Love You So (which itself is a song built around I Feel A Song In My Heart by Sandra Richardson from 1971) but with a few production differences, such as the original sample vocals aren't in this version and are replaced with Mr Hudsons vocals. Also the dramatic production of I Love You So is toned down in the verses and the drums which only appear in the chorus aren't as dramatic. Instead of a synth in the verses, it is replaced by an electric guitar and at the very end, violins (though Cassius' I Love You So ends on a final chorus rather than the final verse/breakdown) and the end of this version of the song loops perfectly with the beginning of it. Overall this song is good but to be honest I prefer the Cassius version of the song.
One of his most underrated songs ever created, period
Why is this song so low in the list?
