Top 10 Most Overrated Music Artists of 2021

The Top Ten
1 Olivia Rodrigo

She has a really good singing voice, but her songs sound about as bland as any other pop song on the Billboard Hot 100. Maybe she should talk with the producers about that. She's a newcomer, but that won't stop me from criticizing how basic and unoriginal "Driver's License" is. I can play that song easily on the piano without sheet music because it's slow-tempo and kind of boring.

Hands down most overrated music artist of 2021. She is decent but gets way too much hype and people treat her like she's Jesus Christ. Other than pop, her album Sour is labeled as genres like "emo", "pop punk", and "grunge" but sounds NOTHING like those genres. People compare her to people like Hayley Williams and Avril Lavigne, and her voice sounds much weaker and those two people.

Overhated on this site, overrated everywhere else.

2 Cardi B Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, known professionally as Cardi B, is an American rapper, songwriter, television personality and former stripper.

I do not understand why she gets so much praise. She has a really annoying voice and can't rap. I would rather listen to nails on a chalkboard than her voice.

Her music only sounds good when you're drunk, stoned, or cross-faded at a party and you don't care about the lyrics. I say this because the lyrics in her songs are always about the same thing; being a "bad bitch", using her sex appeal to repeat songs about getting laid, making generic statements about how much material wealth she has, and nothing else.

3 BTS BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013.
4 Lil Nas X

He's good, but not great. He's just really overrated because everybody acts like he's the future of rap music, which he isn't. It's not even rap music most of the time; it's more like pop music with hip-hop elements mixed in and sometimes with other genres such as country (Old Town Road; the song that boosted him to popularity). I'm not gonna hate on him though. The only reason he's hated is because the Christian Right is triggered by the Montero X (Call Me by Your Name) music video and the fact that he's gay, which shouldn't even be an issue in 2021.

5 Dua Lipa Dua Lipa (born 22 August 1995) is an English singer and songwriter. Dua Lipa was born in Westminster, London, to Albanian parents.

She is best known for her role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious and its spin-off show Sam & Cat. more.

How can people like this self-centered piece of crap but not Meghan Trainor? Meghan is a much better person than Ari!

9 Billie Eilish Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, known professionally as Billie Eilish (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter, best known for her songs "When the Party's Over", "Bury a Friend" and especially "Bad Guy".

She was born under the name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant to entrepreneur Robert England Jr. and Patricia Ann Hill in rural Lake Placid, New York on June 21, 1985. She has two siblings, Chuck and more.

Didn't know she was still relevant, but she's basically one of those artists that steals other songs or copycats the vibe of other songs. I'm surprised she hasn't been sued for copyright violations.

The only reason why she's number 10 on my subjective list that she's FINALLY not as relevant as she used to be, which is a good thing. Her music is such normie beta trash that appeals to over-emotional white girls in High School.

17 Jason Derulo Jason Joel Desrouleaux, better known by his stage name Jason Derulo (an alternate spelling of his surname), is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer.
