When it comes to understanding, knowledge, intelligence, emotion, and grasp of music, Sonu ji is unmatchable. I never say that this or that person is the best, but everyone has someone they admire the most. For me, that's Sonu ji, without saying others are any less. His voice hasn't worn off even a little after singing live for almost 45 years. Live singing is the true test for any singer, and he is always pitch perfect in it. Even after so many years, he does riyaaz. I haven't seen anyone as devoted. His performances have made me smile, cry, laugh, love, given me goosebumps, taken me to a meditative state, and made me experience divinity.

I was introduced to indie pop from Jaan, Yaad, and Deewana. Also, in Yeh Dil Deewana, he introduced a new western pop style to Bollywood music. Songs were never sung like that before. So Indian pop started from him, for me. His special style was completely new and different from anything that was happening at that time. The high notes, which I call Sonudelling, were so fresh and amazing.

  4. Kishore Kumar

Kishore Kumar was an Indian film playback singer, actor, lyricist, composer, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is considered one of the most successful playback singers in the Hindi film industry. His versatile voice and charismatic personality left a lasting legacy in Indian cinema.

He was the most versatile singer and had a heavenly voice. Rafi and Kishore were the best ever, but my personal choice out of the two has to be Kishore Kumar, simply because he sang all kinds of songs and in all styles, with such a powerful voice that didn't fade till the very last song. His voice touches my heart. His songs have meaning and emotion.

Kumar Sanu, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, etc., are all wannabes who don't even reach the feet of Kishore or Rafi Sahib. They're a disgrace to Indian playback singing. There was no singer like Kishore and no music director like R.D. Burman. I don't listen to any of the crap that is released these days under the guise of Hindi music. I miss both of these legends.

He is one of the best singers in the world. He is very down to earth. Despite being so popular, he is very simple and never flaunts it. Words are not enough to describe how well he sings. There is no one like Arijit Singh, and there can't be, according to me. For me, he is the best and will be the best. He is a person with the most beautiful and soulful voice. Please do vote for him as he deserves that, and he should definitely be in the top 5. I am his great fan, in fact, his biggest fan. Please, please, please vote for him.
