Top 10 Reasons Why Linkin Park Isn't Metal

For some reason people have assumed that Linkin Park is a Metal band. And to be honest they aren't metal and never were metal.

1 There's no influence of Classical music in Linkin Park's music

Exactly! Only ignorant fools who don't know anything about what metal is think they are metal even though they are literally 0% metal, they are just a Alt Rock band.

Linkin Park isn't metal. However, that doesn't change the fact that they are a good band.

2 Most of their riffs are rock orientated or sometimes punk-like riffs

3 There's little to no metal influence in their music

In my opinion, linkin park is not a rock band or a metal band, they simply do both genres. There have so many diverse influences in their music, and metal is among these. There has always been a metal element in their albums ( except for one more light, which is pop ), even if they have a lot of songs that aren't metal.

4 Metal doesn't have rapping in it

Two words: nu metal.

5 Screaming from the top of your lungs doesn't make someone a metal singer

Honestly, I used to think AC/DC were metal just because of this reason lol.

6 Most of their influences are poppy and rap orientated as well as rock orientated but not Metal orientated

7 Their melodies are too poppy to be classified as Metal

8 Loudness and aggressiveness doesn't make a band metal

9 How tuned down a guitar is doesn't make a band metal

10 Experimenting with electronic music doesn't make a band metal
