Bushido is a German rapper and producer who has been the commercially most successful hip hop artist of German language territory for many years by now, and is often seen as the most influential artists of the genre in said countries.

Next to his status as a rapper, Bushido has been praised since his debut record for his beats, with a distinctive sound usually consisting of melodic soundtrack, orchestra or violin samples and his trademark MPC drum kit. This sound was what essentially gave German hip hop its own identity, and received acclaim even in otherwise mixed reviews.

In 2018, Bushido released his thirteenth solo studio album “Mythos” to chart topping success and positive reviews. He produced 11 of the 15 tracks from the record.
