Control Denied was a progressive power metal band formed by Chuck Schuldiner known for being the founder and frontman of Death, In 1997 Chuck recieved a copy of Psycho Scream's "Virtual Insanity" and immediately sought out Tim Aymar to collaborate, Aymar joining Control Denied on lead vocals soon after.

This album was the only album Control Denied ever released, it was released in 1999 through Nuclear Blast. In 2010 the album was re-issued by Relapse Records who would also re-issue all of Death's albums (except Symbolic)

This was Chuck Schuldiner's final studio album before he died as a result of cancer on December 13, 2001.

This could be a good album for people who want to get into Death but can't quite get used to the vocals. All around it's basically Death + Power Metal and it's really solid
