Best Songs on Ninja Sex Party's Attitude City Album
Attitude city is the 3rd album by comedy band Ninja Sex Party. I also believe it to be the best, so I'm going to rank the songs just like I did with the other 2
The best song in their career at this point in time, the 8 and a half Rush inspired epic is full of everything you would want from an NSP song, variation, amazing singing from Dan and an amazing premise.
One of the most ridiculous songs on the album, Dragon Slayer details the amazing adventures of him killing a dragon. By the end, its just Dan spouting garbage about how the dragon is definitely not a friend in a costume. Great song all around
Apparently, this premise is something that NSP wanted to tackle for a long time, and this song really shows that they had this idea from the get go. The story line is hilarious and the Starbomb-esque synths and vocals make a truly unique experience from NSP.
What better song to sum up NSP than one about Dan going on a road trip to make sure he doesn't have a meaningful relationship. Te chorus is extremely catchy and sounds like it would be a commercial success provided they changed the lyrics drastically.
This is the song that feels most like some of their old work, especially with the premise of Ninja Brian ruining something great, in this case, Dan's date. Although just like previous songs, Dan doesn't realise and puts it down to Brian being Brian.
While the song is musically very strong, the lyrics felt quite boring to me, however, the song isn't bad by any means as the instrumental side of the song is extremely good.
An enjoyable song that feels a lot like the continuation of "Shredded Metal", a song from their previous album. The "intense metal" turning into happily singing about cookies never gets old.
Something about the slower NSP songs has always put me off, but I still don't know what it is. Anyway, the song is quite boring and the joke about Dan being sensitive doesn't go very far.
While the bulk of this song is decent, Dan's obnoxious screaming really brings down this otherwise amazing song.
While Cookies! might have been a continuation of Shredded Metal, this song is more like a spiritual successor, as the joke is nearly exactly the same. Still funny though...
