Sports Teams That Probably Won't Win a Championship Anytime Soon
Whether you haven't won the championship in a long time or you've never won at all. This is predicted by me. You may add anything.
The oldest team in the NFL without ever being in a Super Bowl.
They're never going to be that good to win a championship.
Well Baker Mayfield has brought some hype to this team so there's a chance they could

They're in the beginning stages of a total re-build so nobody is expecting them to start winning any time soon. Mind you, I am against the idea of intentionally tanking mid-season to increase your chances at acquiring higher draft picks since that strategy is basically cheating. Besides, the NHL is allowing it and rewarding a team for failing couldn't be any more wrong, in my opinion. Now, I am first and foremost a Leafs fan, but at this time you can call me a Detroit Red Wings fan. That's a team you can bet your chips on.
They should be first, to start off they have not won a Stanley cup in 49 years. Their fan base is way too big and all torontonians think they will win the Stanley cup. Also they have a roster full of AHL players! Trading Phil Kessel was a HUGE mistake its cost the team a lot! I always watch them play a and they always lose, like can't they win for once!? I don't think there has been a team that has played worse than the leafs in 49 years! Oh well, I hope they get the best draft pick this year! 49 years and counting!
Until studs like Nylander and Marner start lighting it up with 40 and 50 points a season, the leafs may have to be patient for a run. Nevertheless the fans are remaining loyal with the rebuild. Once Sparks keeps up.900 or higher save percentage and 2.00 or lower GAA, it might take a while for the leafs.
They haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1967. But they are terrible. But I got to give the fans credit. They are very loyal no matter how much they suck.

They won one NBA Final; in 1951! Since then, the Kings did nothing! I can see a relocation coming soon.
DeArron Fox and Buddy Hield might take this team to the playoffs actually!

It's a pity this team played in four straight Super Bowls without winning even ONE trophy let alone four!
They literally just ended their playoff drought in 2017. But don't expect a championship anytime soon.

Super Bowl III Champions but no more. They've only been to one Super Bowl. Since then, the Jets never came close. They hardly even made the playoffs. But the fans are still loyal.

Closer than you think
They are pretty good! Why is the 76ers here lol, but they are actually quite disappointing though! This team has many great players!

Last playoff win: 1991, Any Super Bowls? No. The Bengals are very motivated during the regular season but end up getting crushed or choking in the wild card round of the playoffs. You got to win playoff games to win the Super Bowl right?
You might be right on that. But it doesn't do much to continue hoping for a victory one day!

The Pacers haven't done anything since 1971 when they went to the finals. Pretty misfortunate.

Most recent World Series win: 1908. 108 year drought! Hell of a long time! Yet they have loyal fans (unlike the Blackhawks).
They just won the world series yesterday. This list needs to be upgraded.

The Caps always choke in the playoffs. They only have 1 Stanley Cup finals appearance. They are a team everyone fears in the regular season. But easy to beat in the postseason.
I don't know. They've been an absolutely astounding team this season. You never know when they're year will come.
They're doing good this season, been wiping out the Devils and Rangers.

1948 World Series Champions. In desperate need for a recent. The Indians haven't come close to winning another ever since.
They choked in 2016. They need to win one soon

The Bullets/Wizards/whatever have been avoiding postseason glory since 1978.

They should not be here. They have ranked very highly in the league over the past few seasons and are definitely not to be ruled out when talking over what teams have a chance at winning a cup. They may be tied for having the longest Stanley Cup drought (47 seasons - ever since they were founded in 1967) but that means nothing when you consider that the team roster has changed hundreds of times since their inception. The only team you can blame at any given time is the one that presently exists since it'll undoubtedly be altered before the next season starts.
No, they never won the Stanley Cup. However, they've made it three times. Last appearance in 1970. The Blues keep choking in the playoffs.
They just won the Stanley Cup. 2019 Stanley Cup champions.

What in the world? They were always pretty good!

Speaking of old teams that are cursed how about my awful Lions over the years.

They're last Super Bowl was Super Bowl IV, which happened in 1969. They haven't came close to a championship game until 1994 and lost that. they actually made a MASSIVE improvement in 2018 with a new quarterback and actually gotten to another champion title, but unfortunately lost to a long time dominate team, the Patriots, which surprisingly makes since. This team seems like a team that doesn't get the kind of luck it deserves when it need it. Luckily they have a bright future ahead of them and I'm happy to be aware of it as a Chiefs fan myself. They'll get there soon, let's give them some time!

They have gotten in one Superbowl but have done poorly ever since... I still respect that the fans are still loyal...
