Terrific Hamilton band! Great blues.

82Powder Blues Band
83Monster Truck
84Plumtree

Probably the most under-appreciated band of all time, Plumtree was an all-female rock/power-pop band from Halifax that was together from 1993-2000. During that time they released a six song cassette and three full length albums, as well as several singles.

85Red Rider

How is Red Rider not on the list? "White Hot", "Don't Fight It", "Lunatic Fringe", "Human Race", "Big League", "Napoleon Sheds His Skin", "Boy Inside The Man", "Good Times", "Ocean Blues (Emotion Blue)", "What Have You Got To Do", "The Untouchable One", "Victory Day", "Breaking Curfew", "Power (Strength in Numbers)" As Far as Siam was released in 1981 and featured the hit "Lunatic Fringe" which was used in the 1985 movie Vision Quest and appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Smuggler's Blues". Even thought they are not together anymore, Antoine Sicotte and James Renald were an awesome duo! "Love Song" & "Some Kinda Wonderful" were really popular in the late 90s, and had the chance to be the first band to have a prize of SOCAN. Producers, song-writers and talented singers, their melodies will always be in my Canadian roots...

96Max Webster

You have to be kidding me... Hangover / High Class In Borrowed Shoes / The Party / Check / Battle Scar / Waterline... These are anthems in Canadian rock. Just ask the members of Rush who their favourite band was when they were young... Max Webster!

97October Sky

Great production values, relative newcomers, if you like Muse, Doves, U2, you will like these boys.

98The Wilderness of Manitoba
99Blue Peter
100The Spoons

They dominated Canadian New Wave (even more than M+M) in the early eighties. Nova Heart, Those Old Emotions, Romantic Traffic...who has not heard these and smiled to himself/herself at the memories they recall?

Great rhythms, blending voices, awesome synths. Easily top ten. - drsteve
