Top 10 Songs with Dueling Solos
Dueling solos are played by different players back-to-back, often taking turns several times. Dueling solos sound like one solo although it's played by two or more players, even on different instruments. Solos by different players that aren't consecutive, aren't dueling. For example, if there is a verse or chorus between the solos, they aren't dueling. Most often dueling solos are between:
1) guitar and keyboards
2) two guitars
Unusual combinations but there are dueling solos between:
1) guitar and violin
2) keyboards and bass
3) guitar and bass

A song of 2017 by a unique band and what they did is, of course, something unusual: a solo on 3 instruments that are pretty unusual for soloing back-to-back, with this structure: Guitar - Violin - Guitar - Violin - Bass (fretless).

This is a lesser known Deep Purple song but I can't skip it because it has 5 solos on 4 instruments! Not all solos are consecutive though, only 2 are but the combination is totally unusual: between bass and keyboards. Great job, Deep Purple! Keep soloing! Your experimentation inspired so many rockers and metallers.

Bass - Roger Glover
Insanely fast and absolutely awesome
