Most of the time, hyenas go for lone lions, so in that case, they would probably win.
But if it were a whole pride of over-confident annoying lions, then yeah. The idiots win.
Hyenas aren't bad animals and lions are more likely to scavenge from them more often than the other way around (no offense to lion fans)
It bothers me when hyenas are painted as 'evil' and lions as 'heroic' just because of a bad animated Disney movie said so.
No animal is exclusively evil, and cheering for lions against hyenas never helps because, both animals are important to our ecosystem.
The do have a very strong rivalry.
Not sure if I can say that only lion wins this battle. Many cases have been reported where a hyena has successfully mauled a lion (or lioness). But that's much rare than lions mauling hyenas.
9/10 lions would beat the hyena in a fight because of it's strength and weight. There's more videos of lions killing hyenas than hyenas killing lions (which is quite rare)

I say the hyena wins the battle if the honey badger is Bunga from The Lion Guard, but otherwise, either animal can win.
