Top 10 Cartoon Shows That Jumped the Shark
What was the one thing The Flintstones didn't need? The answer is a green space alien that only Fred and a few others could see. Congratulations, Gazoo, you efficiently killed one of the greatest cartoon shows of all time.
I have always been a huge fan of Teen Titans, and at first glance, this show may seem like a bad attempt at reanimating a dead show that never should have died. However, after giving it a chance, I've realized that they did not try to remake the Teen Titans. It's a goofy twist on what we all know and love. Instead of being the fearless leader with huge ambition, Robin is a crazy perfectionist obsessed with being correct, popular, and getting Starfire to like him.
Cyborg and Beast Boy are best friends who goof around and play video games, Beast Boy is even in love with Raven, who also "secretly" likes him back. Raven is even more silly than before as well, but hasn't lost her dark evil demeanor. And Starfire really hasn't changed much, she just has different interests, like her kitten obsession.
All in all, what makes this show so great is their cute original twists on some of our favorite stories, like Beast Boy and Terra, and their subtle references to not only the original Teen Titans (they even had an episode based on them learning about their past cartoon), but the DC universe as well. Don't approach this show looking for a death battle between Robin and Slade, or Raven and Trigon. Just try to have fun and enjoy their crazy antics. It's really a great show.
Clearly, the show jumped the shark with Poof because Poof didn't add anything to the series and the episodes after he was introduced were bad, boring, or just terrible. Just because you are cute, it doesn't make you a good character if you don't have an impact. He is not even in Season 10 with Chloe, which shows that he wasn't a good character for the show. Lastly, the characters became less responsible and more disagreeable when Poof was there. I don't hate Poof but anyone that says either he was a good character or the show didn't go downhill with him is mistaken and wrong.
Each episode is boring, unfunny, and painful to watch since they added these stupid PC cultures. And there is absolutely no exception.
Adding an extra character a lot of times doesn't always work. Even The Brain is fully aware that this show was a bad idea.
Brian died in a car accident in the same week that Paul Walker (Brian from Fast & Furious) died in a car accident. That is all.
That relation was doomed to fail. Preferably, she would have been better with Bolin.
While I still love the show, this episode made it pretty obvious that it jumped the shark. The quality started decreasing after this episode and it just kept getting worse. It's great that this episode was declared non-canonical.
A lot of people disliked Disney's version of Doug mostly due to the number of changes including: Roger becomes rich, Connie is now skinny, The Beats broke up, The Honker Burger closed down, and among others the introduction of Doug's sister Dirtbike.
Worst couple ever. Just created for those kinds of fans I hate.
