Top Ten Ducktales Characters that Were Improved the Most in the 2017 Reboot

While I am still a huge fan of the original 1987 DuckTales and still love and remember it fondly to this day, one of it's weaker points was that not all of the characters where as memorable and interesting as they could have been. Thankfully, one of the strong points of the 2017 reboot of this classic Disney cartoon is that many of it's reimagined characters were (in my opinion) vastly improved from their original counterparts. And here are the Top Ten DuckTales characters that were improved and developed the most in the reboot...
The Top Ten
1 Webby Vanderquack

Wow. Just, okay. Although I may be one the few people who actually liked the character of Webby in the original cartoon, looking past her stereotypical girl character just to have a girl character in the show personality, Webby in the reboot compared to 1987 Webby is ten times the character she was before. 2017 Webby is quirky, friendly, endearing, hilariously intense, and a off the wall oddball that does her job very well of standing out in the main cast. In the past, she has been compared a lot to Mabel Pines of Gravity Falls. But honestly, they're really not all that similar except being the wildcard female character of an adventure family mystery cartoon with greedy uncles and long-lost missing twins. And that's not at all a bad thing.

2 Louie Duck

In the OG DuckTales none of the triplets have much personality. Every good show needs a sleazy but reliable when needed protagonist (who may or may not get arrested from time to time) and that is Louie.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Normally Donald's three completely identical nephews that you can't tell the difference between besides they're clothes right? Well not here. Louie, in the simplest of words, is crafty, unapologetically lazy, shaper than the sharpies, relatable, a master manipulator, and a professional charmer. And he's perfect.

3 Mrs. Beakley

Oh boy, where do I even begin with Mrs. Beakley in this reboot? Bentina Beakley, or just Mrs. Beakley this time around, has been upgraded from Webby's grandmother, Huey, Dewey, and Louie's nanny and Scrooge McDuck's housekeeper, to definitely not his secretary, and a spy...

4 Gyro Gearloose

If you're familiar with Gyro in the original DuckTales and have also watched the recent episode of the reboot, Astro B.O.Y.D.!, his spot on this list shouldn't surprise you here at all. Let's just say, without spoiling it all, the writers of the reboot have gained my respect.

5 Dewey Duck

This is not just because Huey is me in the DuckTales Universe but I hate people like this always jumping into without but it adds comic relief so it wasn't too bad.

The courageous, reckless, adventure and thrill-seeking triplet of the main trio. Like Huey and Louie, his personality is well fleshed out and considerably a lot different from his appearances in comics and animation.

He is the daredevil among the triplets and probably the most hearted of them all. After scrooge he is the best center charcter of te series without any dought!

6 Donald Duck

I'm not going to go over everything about why Donald is absolutely amazing in the reboot here, as I've already explained it all in my Top Ten list, Top Ten Appearances of Donald Duck in Movies, TV Shows, Short Films, and Video Games. Check it out if you'd like a more in-depth explanation of his spot on the list.

7 Scrooge McDuck

It's Scrooge McDuck, voiced by David Tennant, an actual genuine Scotsman. What more needs to be said?

8 Flintheart Glomgold

Flintheart Glomgold. The name alone isn't enough to tell you all about this childishly obsessive, surprisingly complex, hilariously hammy sociopath. While not even coming close to the cunning and intelligence to the old Flinty in the original DuckTales, Flinty in the reboot makes up for it for being an easily much more entertaining and a prominent role in the series. What helps him the most this time around is his backstory and motivation to taking down his internal rival Scrooge McDuck, all explained in the season 2 episode, The Ballad of Duke Baloney!, along with the amazing voice acting from Keith Ferguson. Probably his best moment in the series so far comes around halfway through the episode, The 87 Cent Solution!. I won't spoil it here just in case you haven't seen it yet and are interested in watching the reboot. But trust me on this, you most likely won't be left disappointed...

9 Huey Duck

The nerdy, bookish, responsible triplet of the main trio. Of the three nephews, Hubert is probably the one that kept the personality of the original triplets the most, while still improving on his character for the better.

10 Magica De Spell
The Contenders
11 Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera
12 Goldie O'Gilt
13 Della Duck
14 Lena Sabrewing
15 Violet Sabrewing
16 Launchpad McQuack
17 D'jinn

Dijon, or D'jinn first appeared as the villainous sidekick to the evil sorcerer Merlock in the DuckTales movie, and 3 episodes of the original show as only a comical, thieving nuisance. But in the reboot, he's been upgraded to a no nonsense Arabian warrior chasing after a missing heirloom of his family's distant past.

18 Phantom Blot
19 Bradford Buzzard
20 Daisy Duck Daisy Duck is a cartoon character created in 1940 by Walt Disney Productions as the girlfriend of Donald Duck.
21 Gladstone Gander
22 Ma Beagle
23 Merlock
