Top 10 Best Trollhunters Episodes

Trollhunters is one of my favorite cartoons of all time, and, as a matter of fact, one of the only cartoons I watch. It's a story about a teenager named James Lake Jr., who unexpectedly finds an amulet and becomes the next Trollhunter. He must protect both the human world and troll civilization from evil trolls known as the Gumm-Gumm, who want to invade Earth.

This is an incredible cartoon, and it has received two sequel shows: 3Below and Wizards. The first sequel, 3Below, premiered on Netflix on December 21, 2018. All three series together form the Tales of Arcadia trilogy, which concluded with Wizards in 2020.

To celebrate this fantastic series, I thought we should discuss the best Trollhunters episodes. I created a list for each season a long time ago, but this time, we'll focus on the best episodes overall. Without further ado, let's start!
The Top Ten
The Eternal Knight (Season 3, Episodes 12 & 13)

The season finale easily takes the number one spot! I decided to have both episodes 12 and 13 as one episode, as they technically are the same episode. This episode showed us the moment we were waiting for, and it did not disappoint!

We are given some of the finest battle scenes in the entire series, and the whole thing is just epic! I can't talk too much about it, or I'll spoil it, but trust me, this is number one!

A House Divided (Season 3, Episode 10)

This is perhaps the most emotional episode of the bunch, and I mean it! You will cry watching this episode, one way or another, at least during the rewatch.

This episode is about Jim's biggest question, and it's so emotional! I can't spoil it, but you will cry watching it!

In the Hall of the Gumm-Gumm King (Season 2, Episode 13)

Excluding the best season, this is the best episode! Before Season 3 was released, this was definitely my favorite episode!

The epicness, the drama, the music, it's so epic! The picture is enough to show you how awesome it is.

That scene where everyone helps Claire make a huge portal reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Jimhunters (Season 3, Episode 11)

Yeah, the final three episodes of the series are in the top five! I guess that's saying how awesome this series got near the end!

This episode follows the most emotional episode, and it's not only emotional, it's the most depressing one. Of course, no spoilers, but it's depressing and emotional.

The Oath (Season 3, Episode 7)

I'd say that this is also a very emotional episode, perhaps the third most emotional in Season 3 and the series as a whole!

Of course, I can't spoil it, but the best way I can summarize it is that Jim must find the Staff of Avalon before the enemy. It's just so awesome and emotional!

A Night to Remember (Season 1, Episode 25)

Hands down, the best episode not only of the second half of Season 1 but the best of Season 1 as a whole. I just really love how dramatic it feels and how emotional it is.

It truly feels like a race against time because in the previous episode, Jim's mom, Barbara, was badly injured, and Jim's friend must find an ingredient to save her. I just really like how emotional and dramatic it is.

Blinky's Day Out (Season 1, Episode 17)

So the second half of the first season may be my least favorite. That doesn't change that it had excellent episodes as well, though!

Blinky is my favorite character in the cartoon, and prior to the events in episode 16, he has turned human and gets to explore the human world in daylight. These are some of my favorite moments from the franchise, as it gives Blinky a whole new identity. His relationship with Jim's mom is excellent as well!

Recipe for Disaster (Season 1, Episode 11)

Hands down the best of the first half of Season 1! It's the most humorous one and quite exciting at the same time!

Basically, Jim's mom invites Jim's teacher, and the fun begins! No spoilers, but it's funny!

Bad Coffee (Season 3, Episode 3)
It's About Time (Season 1, Episode 22)

The Newcomers

? The Exorcism of Claire Nuñez (Season 3, Episode 5)

In this episode, Jim rescues Claire's soul and returns it to her body. It is so sweet the lengths that he will go to save her.

? The Battle of Two Bridges (Season 1, Episode 13)
The Contenders
A Hero with a Thousand Faces (Season 2, Episode 7)

This is an episode many may disagree with me on, but I honestly found it quite thrilling. It's the episode that got me into this franchise in the first place!

As seen in the picture, I don't need to explain what happens, but I'll do it anyway. Jim accidentally clones himself because of something in his amulet, and all the clones have different personalities and different shirts. There is also a rival one, AKA the "villain" (although I'd say the serious one is the "villain"), and he steals the amulet. Jim must get it back, and I like it!

For the Glory of Merlin (Season 3, Episode 8)
Claire and Present Danger (Season 1, Episode 12)

It is so sweet how Jim saves Claire. I've also been so excited to see Claire added to the team.

I love the scene where Jim summons the amulet and transforms in front of Claire.

Creepslayerz (Season 2, Episode 9)
