The Contenders: Page 2

21 Godsmack Godsmack Godsmack is an American rock band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The band is composed of founder, frontman and songwriter Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Shannon Larkin.

They're great I wish they were post-grunge after all Layne Staley was a hero and influence to Sully Erna so maybe he carries a little grunge in him I don't really know I can't tell

Godsmack should be number one - hands down. They cut their teeth on the greats of grunge and IMPROVED it, making it their own. Erna is legit! Even his solo albums blow this list away!

Godsmack are sick! Definitely deserve to be in the top ten

Shouldn't be on here

25 Egypt Central

First saw them when they opened for disturbed almost 10 years ago. Still remains my favorite band of all time!

26 Drowning Pool Drowning Pool Drowning Pool is an American Alternative Metal band formed in Dallas, Texas in 1996. The band was named after the film The Drowning Pool.

These guys are nu metal, not post-grunge.

27 RED RED Red is an American rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2002. The band's lineup consists of singer Michael Barnes, guitarist Anthony Armstrong, and bassist Randy Armstrong.

These guys, Decyfer Down, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Chevelle, and Thirty Seconds To Mars are my jam when it comes to post-grunge. - AngryByrd

Come on just listen to their songs Feed the machine and faceless you'll know why they should be #1

28 Matchbox 20

Matchbox 20 only used post-grunge only once on their first record Yourself or Someone Like You they're pretty much average, their two songs push and long day are pretty much post-grunge material but a little too much softpop or something they're not like Foo Fighters or breaking Benjamin or puddle of mudd or silverchair or smile empty soul or bush I still like them but only their first record Yourself or Someone Like You was the only post-grunge they used

My all time favorite music group. Matchbox 20 is simply amazing. Some of my favorite songs consists of; Overjoyed, Push, and Back 2 Good. I love this band so much, It should be rated number 1

Matchbox twenty is number two on my list. They are the second best band ever! Rob Thomas, his voice quality is amazing. He writes almost all his songs, and sounds just as perfect live as he does on the CD. Tabitha's Secret is also amazing because he sings in it. They are number three.

Matchbox twenty isn't even post grudge. The fact that their even on here makes them special

There not as good as bands like puddle of mudd or seethe but there still a great bad and have song for what ever mood your - donovanthorn

Just another Nickelback (as if we needed another Nickelback)

30 The Pretty Reckless

One of the few post-grunge bands with actual musical talent and Taylor Momsen's voice is like a grunge-y voice from heaven--though she probably wouldn't appreciate that comparison much :D

I love this band, especially their song Let it out

This band is one of the last great post-grunge that are still semi popular, they deserve 1st place.

34 12 Stones 12 Stones

12 stones has a touch of post grunge along with a Christian music feeling

Listen to Broken and Crash. Then vote for 12 stones.

12 Stones needs to be A LOT higher

These guys are so underrated

35 Finger Eleven
36 Everclear
37 Garbage Garbage Garbage is an American-Scottish alternative rock band formed in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1993. The group consists of Scottish musician Shirley Manson and American musicians Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig.

My favourite band of all time! Should be higher on the list, especially on the fact that Butch Vig produced nevermind.

38 Takida

There is no better music, if you know what the singer has been through some of the songs almost hurts listening to

Such an underrated band! - ShahryRKnoT

39 Pop Evil
40 Lifehouse Lifehouse

Hanging by a moment is the only post-grunge song I know by lifehouse but like matchbox they change their sound and that's a little disappointing
