The Joker is definitely the greatest superhero villain of all time. I first realized this from The Dark Knight film, where the Joker causes complete chaos and proves to everyone that, no matter who you are, we all have the capability to do wrong. I believe this gives us a broad understanding of mortality.

I believe that's why he's so wild because he knows the world is crazy like he is. His personality represents humanity, and he just wants everyone to smile more.

A psychotic genius, Joker really hit the spotlight in The Killing Joke.

Scarecrow The Scarecrow is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

Scarecrow should be number 1. He is the master of fear, and he is up there with The Joker as one of the best supervillains of all time.

He believes fear is the way to gain people's respect, and he does gain it from many other villains.

There's actually a villain named Clayface? Dang, and that picture looks pretty intimidating!

An actor full of jealousy turns into a clay man through a series of events I'm not explaining.

Venom Venom, or the Venom Symbiote, is an alias used by several fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with Spider-Man.

Venom is definitely Spider-Man's best villain. He is also Marvel's 5th best villain.

Thanos Thanos is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Jim Starlin and Mike Friedrich. The character first appeared in Iron Man #55 and has been portrayed by actors Damion Poitier and Josh Brolin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thanos once killed half of everyone in the universe to please Death. Plus, he routinely takes on every Avenger at the same time and comes out on top. The only times he's really ever lost is when his arrogance gets the best of him.

Be honest, if Syndrome were real, you'd be scared. Who wouldn't?

Loki Loki Laufeyson, or Loki Odinson, is a fictional character appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is the adoptive brother and archenemy of Thor, and is known as the "God of Mischief". In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has been portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.

Loki is by far the best villain here. He can turn all these villains into his minions. He is also really hard to kill. So far, he is in the lead for most Infinity Stones at a time. In The Avengers, he had his staff and the Tesseract, which both contain Infinity Stones.

He's a master of sorcery, awesome at strategy, and nearly defeated the Avengers! Come on, he's great!

Loki should at least be in the top ten. He is Marvel's best and most feared villain.
