Top 10 Fastest Fictional Characters

The Top Ten
  1. The Flash (DC Comics)

The Flash is the name of several superheroes appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash (Jay Garrick) first appeared in Flash Comics #1 in January 1940. The most well-known Flash, Barry Allen, debuted in 1956 and is a founding... read more

Sonic first? I wonder how many fanboys didn't get that the Flash actually beats teleportation, which is the top speed ever. Nothing can be faster than something instantaneous except for Flash.

Alright, "Sonic once ran to 1,000 universes in less than a second (Night of 1,000 Sonics), warped reality, boxed with his own shadow, and plenty more. I have theories against Flash's instantaneous travel as well." But still not faster than instantaneous travel... Sonic is overrated and Flash underrated. I call this bull.

The Flash can go as fast as the writers need him to. There's not actually a cap on his speed, and his history shows that. While it's true that, in the past, there have been limits via the Speed Force to the speed of the various Flashes, that issue is solved by the presence of people who love them acting as their "lightning rods" and preventing them from slipping into the Speed Force. With their lightning rods, their speed is infinite.

  2. Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog)

Sonic the Hedgehog is the title character and protagonist of the video game series of the same name released by SEGA. He has since appeared in numerous spin-off comics, several television shows, an animated OVA, and a live-action movie trilogy. Known for his incredible speed and signature blue color... read more

Sonic's speed is unlimited, unlike any other speed character. The only reason he doesn't go that fast in the games is because it would make them way too easy. So easy, in fact, that they wouldn't even be worth playing.

Flash doesn't have infinite speed because his connection to the Speed Force limits how fast he can actually run. If he runs faster than the Speed Force allows him to, then he'll disintegrate and die. The same would happen if Flash tried to steal Sonic's speed. If he did so, then it would be completely pointless because Sonic will just keep running, while Flash would only be sending himself to his own demise.

So yeah, Sonic the Hedgehog is the fastest thing alive for a reason, and no other speed character can top him no matter how fast they may seem. Everyone else has their limits, while Sonic here has no limits. It's safe to say that Flash, Quicksilver, Rainbow Dash, and every other speed character can be left in Sonic the Hedgehog's dust.

  3. Quicksilver (Marvel Comics)

Quicksilver is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in X-Men #4 in 1964. Quicksilver was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby and is known for his superhuman speed.
