Best PC Games About World War II
World War II was terrifying, but what game came out the most realistic about the war?Honestly, a digitally remastered version of this game would be bought up so quick.
You can fight with the Allies and the Russians.
Call of Duty 1 is the best. Build a new one again!
This game's beach landing is amazing, unlike Call of Duty 2's landing where the beach is about 2cm long. I really liked this game, but I don't like the type of campaigns where you are forced to be a one-man army against the entire German Army and the SS.
The Omaha Beach level in the Normandy landings was quite impressive.
The best! The legend! Nothing can beat this! Better than every game!
One of the first massive multiplayer online games with huge maps, destructible scenery, and the ability to man nearly every weapon system in WWII, from aircraft to artillery, and from motorcycles to tanks.
Simply the start of a great first-person shooter franchise. I love this game and the others in the series! However, this one in particular is not realistic compared to the series' recent titles.
One of the best reboots ever. One of the rare good things that Activision did. RtCW has perfect AI, weapons, enemies, storyline, etc.
I've played all Call of Duty and MoH games, and this was the best and most realistic of all.
My third favorite. Plus, Japanese weapons are obtainable unlike in Rising Sun.
This game is all epic! This is one of the best games Call of Duty has in its series and certainly the best WWII game out there. Yes, there is Call of Duty 5 which is newer and also about WWII, and yes, there is Black Ops 2, but they don't get the right feeling while playing it.
Here we have the complete package. The only way for a game to be actual, original, and interesting almost 10 years after its release is to be made perfectly. And Call of Duty 2 certainly is a perfect game!
More Call of Duty games should have a campaign like this. The current campaigns are way too predictable. Even before buying AW, I knew that at some point you'd go against Atlas.
The best Call of Duty in my opinion. The graphics are amazing, body dismemberment is epic, and multiplayer was fun only on PC and Wii because there were no hackers to ruin the game. The characters are really likable (one of the characters in this game returns in Black Ops 1), and the story is great.
Pros:
- Graphics are amazing
- Body dismemberment is fantastic
- Characters are epic
- Awesome multiplayer (only on PC and Wii)
Cons:
- Scrapped missions that look pretty fun
- Health system (you play like a total wuss like this)
- Hackers
- Nintendo Wi-Fi is shut down
- SMGs are overpowered
- Hackers
Rating is 8/10.
The Newcomers
One of the best real-time strategy war games.
A true World War II epic. Play from any country's perspective, big or small, and it's completely immersive and addictive.
This game is brilliant! Much better than COH. All of the tanks, jeeps, and half-tracks break as they would in real life, and the destruction physics are just amazing!
You can really rip up a town while trying to capture or defend it. I find that it is genuinely sad when a soldier that I have been commanding from the beginning of the battle is killed. What makes you more emotionally attached to your men is that they all have unique and individual names.
The cover system is also very impressive because when you highlight a unit or a soldier, a ghostly figure appears in the position that the soldier would stand. This is much more helpful than the COH's cover system because they actually get behind cover.
The attention to detail on the maps is beautiful. Towns really look like the type of towns that soldiers used to fight in when in France.
This is the best game ever for PS3. It used to be very active a long time ago until a year later with the PS4 release. Hopefully, this game will become massively active on the next console because it is the best WWII shooter, better than Battlefield 5.
Although it's my second favorite in the series (Hell's Highway being the first), this is a perfect WWII game. It takes place between D-Day and June 13, 1944, and it's not just shoot the Germans, grab the documents, blow up the 88/Flak/Panzer/Tiger. Nope!
Matt Baker, the game's main protagonist, is portrayed as a squad leader who indeed cares for his men, and he takes it hard when some of his men die. In this game, you lead your men through perilous missions. Purple Heart Lane is hard. You can't sprint in the game, and it's possible that your soldiers get wounded, or worse, die.
This game and its sequels (Earned in Blood, Hell's Highway, and maybe later Battle of the Bulge) tie into soldiers' lives and show that each of them was worth it.
